A Special Place
So I guess now I can admit,
That you were right about us all along,
That despite how true we felt, about the feelings we used to emit,
Together was not the place that we belong.
It’s a little saddening to know that my first love wasn’t the true one,
And it is now time that our paths must drift apart,
But while it lasted, we gave it one heck of a good run,
And you’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
I won’t remember you as deceitful or evil,
But as someone who honestly wanted what was best for me,
