*Walks towards her sensei with a small scroll in hand*

Greetings ;)

*with a single handseal, she spreads the scroll in front of her, summoning a great yet simple Shukajo*

I am ready.

( Han'you Fūin ) - Generic Sealing Technique
Rank: B-Rank
Type: Supplementary , Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items or weapons that have been stored using Fūinjutsu, typically they are stored within scrolls. When needed, the owner will activate the seals releasing their item or weapon of choice. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons. The items themselves are unaffected by time. This Technique allows the user to seal any weapons they wish being their own or opponents.
Note: Cannot seal opponent's custom weapons, or the special weapons of a particular character ( example: Samehada or Kubikiribocho ).
Note: Can only seal corpses, and not injured people regardless of the extent of their injury.

That is good to see... But before we get into techniques, I'd like to start with the basic overview of the style as a whole. So let's begin with the basics. Tell me everything you know about Shakujo no Kyū-Setsu. Just the style, not the techniques. Tell me the facts that you know and your opinion on it. Give as much detail as you can. If you need help, here's some examples of what to write about:
-How it's used
-Versatility
-What drew you to the style (why you want to learn it)
-What are some drawbacks to the style
-Anything else you find interesting about the style itself (in general)

*tilts my own shakujo back and forth, listening to the "clink" of the rings as I wait*

As I am aware, the style revolves around the usage of the not so ordinary weapons known as Shakujo. They are essentially large staves with an ornamented head which has several rings attached and pending from it. They are, to me, a weapon of prestige, they have an air of symbolic adoration, connected to heavens both from cannon usage ( Sage of the Six Paths ) and the story itself ( developed by Monks ). That in on itself seems to suit my overall personality [RP personna], as a move from a more riské and brash young kunoichi, focused on taunting and taijutsu, to a more sophisticated, lethal and, above all, magnanimous character. Such a style compliments me [Isabella], first and foremost, and the transversal personality of all my core allies [RP characters], if anything, from my prefered fightning style, which is the Illusion, the other world, the Manipulation of the Psyche. And that has a lot to do with how I portray my self.

But I am not so foolish as to acquire a style just for the superficiality of what it is , nor would I downgrade your art by classifying it as such. No, The Nine Verses of Shukajo isn't merely a beautifully woven, creative and unique style, it's a very useful and versatile tool to empower my own fighting capabilities. It is divided in two great methods of wielding the Shukajo, the first, Bound Style, is the most ancestral one, and revolves around the utilization of the whole staff. The second stemmed from the acquisition of Ninjutsu and the innovation of separating the rings from the staff, using those as a separate entity. The rings seemingly emanate chakra in it's motion, when, actually, it's merely the user himself infusing them and controlling them with his/her own chakra remotely.

This gives the Shujako, which was already longer than most close ranged weapons, a longer reach and versatility, as the rings can be used as projectiles. This, of course, could work both ways, making the Shukajo, at fist glance, an easy weapon to defeat, were the opponent to outmanuevre it and enter a range closer than the shukajo would efficiently permit, and the limited number of rings might also restrict the usage of the second form of the style, but these are "weaknesses" quite easy to work around.

I love the pictures. I only have two things to say about your description: the first is that a Shakujo is not a (traditionally) weapon. It's originally used by monks to make noise to scare off animals so that nothing would get hurt, and blah blah blah. Anything can be made a weapon, but the Shakujo was not intended to be one (of course, this is more of a "toe-may-to" "toe-maw-to" situation). The second is that one can passively move the rings about the Shakujo while bound... Not that it's terribly useful, but it's something to note.

So, for the first technique I'd like you to perform it and give a run-down on anything you see at first glance - strengths, weakness, uses, etc. This was one of the original techniques without a cool name, so I'll just see what you think of it and then add whatever I see necessary.

(Saisho no Uta: Kaiten Burēdo) - First Verse: Rotating Blades
Rank: B
Type: Offensive | Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user channels their chakra through their Shakujo, which causes the loose rings at the end of their staff to appear to "stand up", as if they were repelled by some force at the center of the ring which binds them to the staff. With each individual ring flattening against the fixture they're bound to on the end of the staff (so that it looks similar to the picture below, with no overlapping rings), each ring then begins to spin at high speeds. As each ring spins the sheer speed the metal material gains appears to give it a sharp quality, allowing the spinning rings to easily cut through C-rank and below Wood Style techniques, and even more solid materials such as Earth Style and steel swords or Steel Style. Kenjutsu of any rank may be used with the "sharp", spinning rings, but if a section of the staff rather than the rings makes contact with something, obviously there will be no cutting power.
Note: ~Can only be taught by the master of Shakujo no Kyū-Setsu
~Can only cut C-rank and below techniques and objects without chakra

Sounds like it's pretty much able to cut any tangible non-chakra object and it's equal to Wood, Steel and Earth (Overpowering C rank). It cna be used with Kenjutsu techniques or freestyle.

Does it last indefinitely without renewal cost?

I should update the technique with a "renewal cost"... As it stands now I can see people being upset if used like that. I think I'll actually update it this cycle <.<
So, anywho, the basis of this technique is to allow you to fight in "distant" close-range, as the shaft of a Shakujo is longer than the length of most conventional weapons. It also keeps people away from you as the sharp blades cut through conventional weapons/defenses, making it difficult to directly combat the technique itself. Once again, it's a basic technique, and it's essentially the "Bound Style" in a nutshell. Anything else you want to do with the Bound Style is derived from this. For example, this following technique:
(Wasurete Saini no Uta: Mokṣa) Forgotten Second Verse: Moksha
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short(-Long)
Chakra Cost: 40 (+10 per turn) (20 to launch a single ring)
Damage Points: 80
Description: An ancient technique, sealed in a scroll from the time of the second generation of Shakujo no Kyū-Setsu users, it wasn't until many generations later that the Forgotten Second Verse was discovered. Building upon the First Verse, the Forgotten Second Verse was a testament to those who left the way of the monk and entered the way of the soldier, learning how to weaponize the Shakujo, yet not knowing how to manipulate the rings as projectiles.
To begin the technique, the user charges chakra through the Shajuko, which will cause the attached rings to spin around wildly. The rings will perk up in a similar manner as the First Verse, but the chakra coating them will acquire different properties. As they spin, they will create a great drag and friction around the brim of the staff's head and the air around. In a fine balance between self-preservation and output of energy, the ring portion in contact with the staff, and the staff's head will glow past the hues of red to become a scorching white light, with the vibration around the rings and staff acquiring powerful repellent barrier of displaced air and a deafening metal on metal friction sound. The user is then able to swing the blazing hot staff, using the heated air barrier to stun and repel any target in close proximity, the air not only pushing way the target before it can actually come in contact with the heated ring, but also heavily burning the target as it is being repelled. If in close proximity with mechanical sensible organs, such as the inner-ear, the metal sound will disrupt and pierce, adding deafness to the burning damage. In practical terms, this hot barrier suffers no elemental weakness or strengths, a combination between energy damage (heat) and physical damage (displaced air), allowing the user to imbue Kenjutsu and Taijutsu techniques that use the Shajuko with the barrier's power. The scouring rotation lasts for 3 turns, after which the rings will simply become limp and cool down, for 2 turns. The radius of the barrier is half a meter, which is the distance the user must remain from the staff's head, in order not to be affected by it, making the motions of the style looser and wider, as the practitioner will usually wield the staff from it's very bottom, creating distance from the head.
Additionally, the user is able to focus chakra on the staff's head during the technique, forcing the rings to infuse their chakra onto a single one, which will embody all the power of the verse. The user is then able to shoot this ring off the Shajuko, towards the opponent, at the speed of an arrow. This will forcefully end the verse and begin the cooldown at the end of the turn, where the projectile will fly back towards the Shajuko, after it dealt damage (counts as a move). As the single ring has gained all the chakra, and therefore speed and power, of the other rings, the barrier of heat it gives off as it flies slowly expands as the chakra cannot contain the heat in such a localized area, causing the barrier to grow six times its original size; three meters in radius.
Note: ~Can only be taught by the master of the Shakujo no Kyū-Setsu style
~After the barrier finishes, during the cool down, the user is unable to use Shajuko techniques
~Can only be used once per battle
So, this technique is one that you probably know/understand quite well <.< Now, under normal circumstances I would have liked to save this technique for last/second last, but since this was basically made by you... Why not?

So, First Verse on steroids. The sheer intensity of the heat generated by the super-fast spinning rings creates a barrier of heat, sound, and otherwise displaced air. This barrier disturbs the inner ear, other sensitive organs/body parts, etc. as well as quickly evaporates nearby water with the intense heat. Then there's also the part where it enters "Ranged Style" territory by firing a single ring at will. This ring can be any ring, essentially, meaning that it can fire in nearly any direction as the rings are all pointed in different directions. To be short, if your opponent tries running to the side, you can still shoot him easily without pointing the Shakujo again <.< And, yes, as the ring shoots away the barrier slowly expands (so that you are not caught in it) in order to be the full 3 meter radius.

Any questions, comments, etc.? Anything about this technique you want to say?

Sounds good.

(Saisan no Uta: Dansu Ringu) - Third Verse: Dancing Rings
Rank: C
Type: Offensive | Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15 (-5 per turn)
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user channels their chakra through the rings of the Shakujo and causes the rings to separate from the main staff and float around the stationary ring which previously bound them. The user can then manipulate the six rings in the air to deflect average and basic chakra-infused weapons, the ring returning to the staff on its own afterwards. Each ring individually has no more strength than a freeform, chakra-infused kunai, but they may be manipulated freely and can hang in the air around the Shakujo as the user performs other techniques.
Note: ~Can only be taught by the master of Shakujo no Kyū-Setsu
~Lasts 3 turns, or until the user calls the rings back to their Shakujo

Alright, so a few aspects of this technique. The rings hover around the main staff of the Shakujo if you aren't commanding them to do otherwise at any moment in time. They can be manipulated individually in free-form, and are equivalent to (but much more convenient than) kunai/shuriken/etc. The rings may hover and be manipulated even as you are performing other techniques. The rings can extend up to mid-range from the Shakujo staff. Also, one aspect of the rings that I really like is that you can position the rings in such a way that you can step on them like stairs or platforms, allowing you to "fly", or create a platform to launch yourself off of "thin air" if you're mid-air and need to move position (kind of like how anime characters can jump off of air itself, only you have a reasonable explanation for how you're jumping on "air"). If you have a high-speed movement technique, you could potentially position the rings in a large arc up in the air and jump off of the rings individually, bypassing simple counters like changing the ground's consistency (mud), or a powerful directional blast forwards.

Now, any questions? Any uses that jump out at you when looking at the technique or my description?

Yeah I have one, but it might be pushing the limit. The rings are initially attached to the shakujo, and then they're dettached by chakra. I wonder if you could use the same principle to launch the rings towards an opponent's limb or even the neck and have them attach to them, being a way to bind your opponent or even choke them. Also, can you alter the dimentions of the rings?

I didn't forget about this, I simply got busy <.<

But you can't alter the dimensions of the rings, and I would say "no" to slipping them onto your opponent's limbs like how you slipped them off of the Shakujo itself. I was considering making a technique like that, that you could attach to your own body and use yourself like a puppet if you're in a paralyzing genjutsu or were struck by paralyzing Raiton, as well as binding your opponent by the way you described, but I decided against it and went with the current Sixth Verse (the one where the rings circle around you/your opponent).

Now, anything else you'd like to say/ask before we move on?

(Saishi no Uta: Roku-Ten Kanma) Fourth Verse: Six-Point Barrier
Rank: A
Type: Defense | Supplementary
Range: Short (of user)
Chakra Cost: 30 (-10 per turn)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user, after either having their rings already released from the Shakujo for a separate technique, or by releasing them specifically for this technique, will have each ring align itself in a hexagonal formation in front of them. The rings will then release chakra from themselves towards the other rings, creating a thin barrier of condensed chakra with advanced enough shape manipulation that the barrier can withstand up to A-rank attacks. The barrier may be adjusted as the user wishes, gesturing with the staff portion of their Shakujo where the rings, and by extension the barrier, will move, and can even be used to lift the user into the air and hover so long as they wish. The barrier's diameter is wider than the user's height by only a few inches.
Note: ~Can only be taught by the master of Shakujo no Kyū-Setsu

So, you position your rings into a hexagonal formation, and they then release chakra towards each other to create a solid barrier of chakra which plays on par with elemental techniques. This shield may be directed as you wish by pointing the staff of your shakujo to direct it. You can even stand on the shield and cause it to fly around, defending you from below as you fly. And that's the basics of this technique: any qusetions or usages that jump out?

The only question would be what happens to the rings themselves after they get hit by an A rank, do they just get destroyed or do they fall on the ground and return to the shajuko? Also, what happens if I use it against S ranks and Forbidden Ranks?

They would return to the Shakujo. And if you defend against a stronger attack, the attack continues as a (S-A or F-A, depending) ranked technique and the rings return to the Shakujo. Basic stuff. <.<

(Saigo no Uta: Rin'ne) Fifth Verse: Saṃsāra
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: Building upon the Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu, the user will release the rings from their Shakujo (or manipulate them once already released) towards the opponent. Then the user will strike the ground with the Shakujo's staff and clap the fist holding their Shakujo with their free hand. After making the improvised handseal, the rings will multiply and create a large wall of thousands of rapidly rotating projectile rings flying towards the opponent. After the barrage of rings, all but six will disappear, and those six will fly back to the Shakujo, reconnecting and falling limp afterwards.
Note: ~Can only be taught by the master of Shakujo no Kyū-Setsu
~Can only be used twice per battle
~The user cannot use any Shakujo no Kyū-Setsu techniques for two turns after using this jutsu

This is where things get interesting. So, you send the rings flying towards your opponent, and then make an improvised handseal to multiply the rings seemingly-endlessly to form a wall that is both long-range in height, long-range in width, and travels across the battlefield in a straight line. Basically, the only way it can be dodged is going underground/getting behind your opponent after the rings are moving but before they've multiplied. Otherwise you have to defend.
The rings are all rapidly spinning so as to replicate a "sharp" or "cutting" effect. Also, at the end of the technique, any six random rings remain - there are no "true" rings, and as such it doesn't matter which ones are destroyed, if any, so long as 6 remain they will return to the Shakujo at the end of the technique. Finally, just for the naming - Samsara is the repeating cycle of birth, life and death (reincarnation) as well as one's actions and consequences in the past, present, and future. I felt it fit a technique which replicated (repeated) the rings over and over near-endlessly.

Any question or comments you'd like to make?

Perfect name, one of the reasons why I wanted to join the CFS. I did not know about the slicing property, as the jutsu did not mentioned it, I was going to ask about the damage if it was just blunt damage. This makes this technique better xD
Though I do wonder if we can lower the rotation of the rings in order to get blunt or sharp damage.

Can I combine this technique with other projectile ring techniques? Like, imagine we have a technique that allows us to infuse the rings with elemental chakra (which I think the Dancing Rings techniques should totally allow it, and have it's name changed xD), could I then use this technique to multiply the rings, all carrying the elemental chakra? Would that multiply the damage too, I'm guessing no on that one, or add both damages?

Well, the other techniques of this style build up the fact that by spinning the rings quickly, the can "cut" (combination of friction and other things that were never explained, yet somehow got approved).
Also, looking at the list of techniques for this style, there are no projectile techniques that make sense to be combined with this one. Dancing Rings would just allow for manipulation, which if used before this technique would only allow for initial positioning of the rings. And it can't be used after due to the restriction on this technique. Six-Point Barrier would involve either multiplying your chakra (thus voiding the first law of thermodynamics), or adding A-rank chakra for every time you recreated the barrier, which wouldn't be ideal. Trying to use this after Naraka would create complicated implacations (though it'd allow for the rings to come straight down, so positioning). It doesn't make any sense to use this with either Dukkha or Purgatory, which leaves The Desire Realm. However, that would once again mean either multiplying your chakra or adding more chakra, neither of which are nice.
Or are you thinking of adding this technique onto the projectile of the Second Verse? Which, might I point out, also will not work due to the restrictions on that jutsu.

I just don't think this technique would be able to be used with the other projectile techniques. Now, did you have any further questions/comments/arguments to make me change my mind?

Then we shall move on:

(Sairoku no Uta: Inga) Sixth Verse: Karma
Rank: A
Range: Short-Long
Type: Supplementary | Defensive | Offensive
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user, after having the rings of their Shakujo separated either from an earlier technique or specifically for this jutsu, will have their rings begin to spin at high speeds before sending them directly at their opponent. It would appear as though the rings had the goal of slicing the opponent once they got there because of the speed and direction they take, but this is not the case. Once they reach the opponent, they begin to orbit the person in an elliptical fashion. This can best be described by looking at how an electron orbits its nucleus. Because of the number of different rings orbiting, the opponent is essentially trapped in one location for moving would ensure a dismembered limb or two. After activation of the jutsu, the technique becomes self-sustaining, like the Rasengan, freeing the user to do as they wish. Because of the metallic nature of the rings, the technique is even more dangerous as it conducts lightning extremely well - so well, in fact, that unfocused lightning used by the one trapped in the technique will be conducted between the moving rings, interconnecting all of them and shocking the target (who is within the orbit of all the rings) to death.
This technique can also be used by the user around himself. If the Shakujo's staff is at the epicenter of the orbital paths of the rings, they will move with the Shakujo's movements, allowing the user to move without cutting himself. The high-speed movement of the rings allow them to defend against larger-scale solid assaults (the hand of the Stone Golem, for example) while it's useless against smaller or intangible attacks (a barrage of senbon or water/wind/fire attacks, for example), as well as being able to defend against close-combat fighting. However, this defensive property applies if used on an opponent as well, though the rings don't move with them.
Note: ~Can only be taught by the master of Shakujo no Kyū-Setsu
~Lasts for two (2) turns before the rings return to the Shakujo automatically

So, this technique was the other winner of my contest. I took it, tweaked it, and made an interesting defensive technique. So, first thing to note is that this technique is self-sustaining, meaning that once the rings are orbiting, you are free to use other techniques without canceling this one. It also means that the technique doesn't draw chakra for every turn you're using it. Second thing to note is that there is no restriction on how many times you can use it, nor is there a restriction on how long you have to wait to use it again. The third is how this technique can be used two different ways: as protection for yourself, or as confinement for your opponent. As protection, this technique is rather lame - it only protects against solid objects, and only if they aren't tiny (I'd say it can defend against kunai and shuriken, but senbon can get through, as a rough idea). However, it's primarily intended to keep an opponent away from close-range, especially if you can't follow their movements by giving you an omnidirectional shield that will cut anyone that gets too close, regardless of your knowledge of them (made specifically for EIG).
Also, if you can use this technique and get sufficiently close to your target, you can use it again to quickly transfer the rings to your opponent and trap them in place. Really, this is best used in short-range to get your opponent, while having the option to help get you to short range (somewhat).

Any questions on this?

The way electricity eletrocutes someone to death if it's used on the shield. If I'm being protected by the ring and someones shoots a ligtning technique at it, will I also get eletrocuted, or is it only if my opponent uses it inside the shield? Am I able to use any techniques at all while inside the shield ( techniques formed inside the shield and shot outwards )

If it is unfocussed lightning then it will be conducted anywhere. For attacking, you can use Katon, focused Lightning, Suiton, Fuuton, Doton that comes from the ground rather than being shot from yourself, and basically anything else that isn't solid that originates from your own body.

Any other questions? Clarifications?
