I was going through my old stuff that I wrote in high school and I came across this poem that I wrote my senior year of high school in my English class. We were reading about a pilgrimage and the teacher asked us to write about a person that we wanted to see on this pilgrimage so I chose a Samurai! :scorps: Sorry In advance if you don't like it, it's been a very long time since I've even seen this poem. Also we had to follow a certain format for it.
The Samurai
Another Pilgrim there was a samurai,
An assassin with demonic eyes.
Alone he traveled being discrete,
Avoiding all the villagers to whom he could meet.
Wearing nothing more than a kimono and a sword,
His duty was to protect his only lord.
Traveling on foot to blend in better,
Hoping and praying for the best of weather.
He had ears of a fox,
But wasn't as strong as an ox.
He was slender and some say weak,
But determined of obtaining what he may seek.
Some say he doesn't know when to give up,
But he's not going to be left with an empty cup.
Some say he thirsts for blood and danger,
But he falls when his wounds are major.
He's not a bloodthirsty raging beast,
But an honorer-able warrior at the very least.
He would give everything he had, including his life,
Just to protect his family, especially his wife.
Let me know what you guys think, I'm not a poet lol.
