We know Toad sages, we know Snake/dragon sages and now we know another one.
I would like to add, this could even be the slug sage mode and Hashirama just uses it to empower his Mokuton jutsus.

Senpou=sage art.

Of course a boss like Hashirama has Sage mode as well.

that would be the abillity, but the Sage-Mode could've been something else... should have something with some sort of animal to do, or it wouldn't make sense to why all the other Sage-Modes are Frog/Snake/Dragon... idk!

Naruto is a Toad sage.
Jiraiya is a Toad sage.
Some other might be too, seeing there were several names on the toad scroll.

So it would still be a sage mode jutsu. He just announced his sage arts jutsu, when he went into sage mode.

Maybe it is even about the Slug who knows, but he announced his sage mode jutsu as a sage jutsu that involves mokuton.

Haha, yeah or the Slug, but Hashi just uses it to empower his Mokuton jutsus, just as Naruto does for Rasengan.
It could be about plantlife, Mokuton, as well. The Juubi doesnt seem to have an animal sage sensei right, but Juubi is kinda in perma sage mode.

There needs to be a demon type sage mode as how it follows myth from japan or some badass mythical creature.
Or even better the tail beast can teach a special type of sage mode!

I'm not exactly sure why everybody seems to think that Sage Justu is limited to animals. Sage mode is simply an individual's ability to absorb and use nature-based chakra. This has been stated numerous times. The reason that Sage mode is limited to certain individuals is not that it is not readily available, but rather that it has certain physical properties that makes it impossible for people to use it safely. In other words, Sage Mode requires that the user has enough personal chakra to not be immediately overwhelmed by the natural energy. Furthermore, Jugo's entire village had an inherent ability to constantly absorb natural energy, and thus use Sage Jutsu. Therefore, it shouldn't come as a surprise that there are other versions of Sage Jutsu other than Dragons and Toads.

As for the facial markings, it was stated that the physical change in a person's appearance is related to the level of mastery that person has over Sage Jutsu. The more a person can control the natural energy, the less the transformation would actually affect their appearance and facial markings. Therefore, it is reasonable to believe that Naruto's mastery of Sage Jutsu is on the same level as Hashirama's. He just needs to learn more diversified attacks and applications (other than Rasengan variants).

It could be the pure sage mode, no link(such as the toads, snails or snakes) between nature and hashirama, his sage mode could be nature it self...?
The juubi IS sage mode, it is more or less of pure nature energy...

Anyways, I thought his sage facial marking looked a little like kimimaro in his final cursed mark state, or am I remembering incorrectly?

It was a sage mode no doubt but it was Instantaneous and also it was not related to plants

he just used the tech with mokton which is similar to Naruto using Rasenshuriken in SM ...........

Eye pattern is somewhat familiar for SM of hashirama it reminded me more of Jiraya's

it is drawn with pictures. Its hard to tell if it was instantaneous or not. He looked pretty adapt at going into the mode though.

It could be related to plants but it could be something else too.
That is why I added the slug sage mode possiblity too and later in the thread talked about him using mokuton jutsus in sage mode as a possiblity, rather than it being a mokuton sage mode.
But I feel both have a chance.

Maybe he had the same expression sorta, as jiraiya?
