Avatar Stealing Rule​

you cannot use an avatar that's already in use by another member. However if that member hasn't been active for more than 6 months you may use their avatar.
but if you still want their avatar then ask them if they will sell it to you for kumi


Sig Stealing


Same rules as avatar steeling.​

not impossible, you will usually find out eventually whether or not someone has your avatar.

interesting, I was thinking about that as well.
I think I will just let that be up to who ever gives this rule permission to be an official rule.
Because it will be hard to tell which one was a custom made avatar/sig and which wasn't.

this rule applies more to custom avatars/sigs rather than ordinary images you find on google. but it would be too much work to figure out whether or not it was a custom made avatar/sig or not so it would have to apply to every avatar/sig

This has good intentions, but remember that there isn't an infinite supply of avatars and sigs. This rule would only create turmoil!

please clarify on how this would create turmoil.
this rule would even help benefit the kumi system a little more.
and it's a great way of getting a refund on custom avatars.

I don't think it would be a good rule because if someone makes an avatar or sig it's his own picture and it shouldn't be stolen by others at all.
If the user didn't make his own avatar/sig but just found it on the internet, the rule shouldn't be necessary at all because the user has no right to claim someone "stole" it because he "stole" it from the original owner (who posted it on another site and so it could be found in google).

I respect you as a fellow writer, but think! Who would moderate this? How would they know who had it first? Lies, lies, and more lies would spread! We'd need several moderators for just this. People would start claiming theft when no such thing had taken place! I just think it's a bad idea.
