Seriously xd why the hell would he have "human path"? And besides he wanted to capture Naruto, not kill him.. It was first later when Naruto could turn completely into Kurama that Obito started to fight with intent to kill. Also it was stated in the beginning of the fight, he didn't use any of the powers the 6 path of pains had, since Naruto already knew all of these, and thus could counter it.

Because he would capture him, just like Kabuto tried when he controlled Nagato.....Knowing a jutsu, doesn't mean he can counter it, since Obito could have sealed him already on multiple occasions....

Yeah this jutsu is an instant that can be activated right away? Besides I think what Kabuto means is that he will revive Naruto with that jutsu as well. However, we don't know what actually happens to the bijuu once a jinchuriki dies. All we know, is that the bijuu will reappear some years after. Thus I think Kabutos "plan" would fail for him, since the bijuu would probably be released from the body the moment the person dies. And later be restored. Obviously the jinchurikis that Obito revived didn't have their bijuu with them, since it was given to them by Obito himself.

but didn't the akatsuki suck out the souls of the bijuu in the first place to put into the gedo mazo?

Why would Kabuto even want to resurrect Naruto without Kurama?

No you don't understand the situation, nor do you understand the difference from being intangible and using kamui. When he is intangible he is practically using kamui all the time. This he can only do for 5 minutes, however, it gives him a permanent defense. But in order to use kamui and absorb anything - even himself for that matter - he needs to completely solidify.

Yes he could probably have touched Naruto, but honestly. The guy doesn't have eyes in his back. How would he know exactly where he was gonna get hit. Even with the shared vision this would be impossible to know. So that is probably your answer. Anyway lets say he was sure, where they would hit. He still couldn't absorb Naruto. And had he kept his arm tangible, Naruto could have grabbed it, or Gai with his super fast nunchaku could change target to his arm. As long as an obstacle is blocking just a small part of Obitos body, like when you see that nunchaku is "inside" his head, Obito cannot solidify to absorb Naruto

Lol, Kakashi has already stated that it is the same jutsu, and really he could just make the entire rest of his except for his hand, "intangible" (really just using kamui on himself on certain parts of his body). By saying that the nunchaku inside his head prevented him from using his arm, you are saying that he could not make his arm physical if his head is not there, meaning that he must make his entire body intangible, which contradicts what Kakashi said. If naruto could have grabbed his hand then bai and Kakashi didn't even have to be there. Naruto was clearly going to be touched and taken in that instance. He wasn't going to absorb with kamui. He doesn't need his hand to do that. It still doesnt make any sense that he didn't just make the rest of his body intangible and keep his hand tangible, as Kakashi suggests is possible. I blame it on kishimoto's lack of foresight

I don't think it's a contradiction, it's just that the explanation is not that good in the manga. I'll try to make it clear here.

Basically, when Obito uses the intangibility ability of Kamui, his body stays where it is. However, his body parts automatically go to the other dimension if they touch something. Kakashi was able to punch him because Naruto's chakra arm was "through" his body. If Obito tries to attack someone when he's intangible, his hand and weapon will go to the other dimension. He has to go back to the fully tangible mode to attack.

We cannot know, the question, however, is quite different, do kurama come along with the Resurrection or not? Kabuto probably would have no idea, what the outcome would be, but all he thought about, was himself anyway.

Are you saying Kakashi could do the same as obito? Cause that is definitely not the case. There is a huge difference between absorbing with your eye, and absorbing with your body. I already answered it somewhere in this thread, why he didn't make his arm 'tangible'.

2nd if it works the same way as you said that would just make it even more stupid for Obito. Since that would mean it requires magnificent control over the jutsu, your body, and chakra manipulation through the eye. So if you took a hit on some body part that wasn't tangible that would put you out of balance, and you could possibly make a mistake, where you closed the dimension on your own body parts, resulting in severe damage.

Anyway as I said, it's not the same, and that is why obito can go intangible, cause he can absorb with any part of his body. And the answer to why he didn't solidify his arm is simple. He couldn't use it to absorb with, but possibly he could use other jutsu, but it wouldn't have made him capture naruto.

Besides it doesn't appear that Obito has a very large amount of jutsus at his disposal, so what exactly would he be able to do? Who says he would even be able to use something like human path in the given situation?

It has clearly been said in the manga that he needs to completely solidify to absorb anything.

I don't think Kabuto would do something like that without knowing the outcome, he obviously knows how Nagato's abilities work.

We will never know, but there is a limit to even Kabutos knowledge. There is no evidence of Oro and Kabuto doing any study regarding bijuus and jinchurikis, tbh, Oro leaving akatsuki, is prove that it didn't have his interest. He wanted the sharingan, with which he could probably control it. Nonetheless I made my point in this thread. Have a nice day

I think the way Obito's kamui works is that when he uses it any overlapping part of his body automatically goes to the kamui dimension... That would mean he doesn't have specific control over which body parts to send but that any overlapping parts go no matter what.

This would also explain how Obito is able to avoid attacks from behind him so easily, because as long as he knows the attack is coming, then all he needs to do is activate kamui and the jutsu will send overlapping parts of his body to the dimension.

This is why he needs to "rematerialze" to counterattack, because if he tried to attack with kamui activated, then he would just pass through... which is what is shown in a lot of those scans.

Seems legit, and a great explaination. *****.

You don't get what he is saying. Kakashi said that obito's ability works by making only certain parts of his body intangible at one time, and not his whole body. But then he didn't do that when he could have touched naruto with a materialized hand and have slipped his body away in the places that Kakashi and gai came from, which is actually plot no jutsu why he didn't/doesn't

Maybe he just did not expect the attack stop crying about plot maybe its not plot.

Of course he didn't expect it, that doesn't explain shit though. But it has already been resolved. But plot is the reason for a lot of things that have happened the last couple chapters. Plot is the reason why Kakashi could use like 8 kamui's when before he could barely do one or 2 without being exhausted. Plot is always a possible reason.
