I guess it's the same with comment's u will not be able to post a visitor message without 5 post and a privitemessage without 10s post's it's like a lil rule so make one more post an ur good

i think it should stop spammers to spam pics which arent alloud according to the rules (racist/pornographic sth. like that). even if 10 posts are nothing for spammers, it could give the admins time to ban them. i knew a fansite were u weren't allowed to use the "higher" functions until one year after the registration.
but thats just a personal theory, so there also could be another reason.

ask the admins or mods its just a rule, in my opinion its just to get you to be active on this forum and be addicted to it...
