Without a kekkai genkai, nobody can beat Itachi one on one. Orochimaru's techniques are too mediocre, from itachi's point of view. His eyes will see through every Orochimaru's attempts of knocking him down.

This is definitely an overrate of itachi but I will say healthy Orochimaru could not beat healthy Itachi, sad to say because I hate itachi's genjutsu Shit but he would get Orochimaru with that

Epic Fail!!! Oro would die a horrible death if he stepped up to Itachi.
The only reason Itachi didn't kill him the first time around is because Itachi is a pacifist due to his traumatization as a child in the third shinobi world war, he has seem too much death so he never tried to kill anyone just maim or disarm them via genjutsu.

Summons are useless against the Sharingan since Itachi would just assume control over them and turn them against Oro, heck Itachi could turn Oro against Oro via genjutsu lol.

Totsuka blade is all that's needed to handle Oro and anything Oro throws at him, even Edos, summons and Kabuto.

Yeah right the same traumatized kid who killed the clan along with Tobi.

Oro has 5 in genjutsu department according to the databook, so he is not like Deidara or Naruto.

Plus he killed 2 kages and almost destroyed the leaf village...Itachi can't do this in a million years.

Kakashi knew that he is jack shit in front of Oro but he was ready to take on Itachi any day.

Itachi feared going up against Jiraya. And Oro in his prime always had an edge over Jiraya.

Many people tend to overrate Itachi and underrate Orochimaru.

Some also think that Itachi killed Orochimaru which is absolutely bogus...No one can kill oro as he is an immortal...a part of him is Incapacitated by the totsuka blade....but he still lives via Kabuto...Itachi on the other hand is dead.

Orochimaru has greater feats than Itachi. The thing with Itachi cutting his hand is not the way it appears...Oro never intended to kill him.

Some may also post that Oro said that "Itachi is stronger than I am" from the anime, but you need to understand that it was an injured Oro who had lost his arms to the sandaime hokage.

Now back to the point about the way he was sealed :

1. Oro was in a weakened state...that's when saucegay attacked him and "took over"

2. Saucegay later admitted that he was able to take over because Oro was very weak to begin with.

3. Now at that time when Itachi sealed oro, sasuke had run out of everything and oro had min chakra he ever had in his entire lifespan...and Itachi knew that he going to die anyways so he went all out on oro at that time.

A healthy Itachi can't beat a healthy Oro and that is a fact.

Oro can spam ET, has deadly summons which are perfect to bound Itachi's susanoo, Oro has the highest endurance...surviving when Tsunade and 4 tailed Nartuo went almost all out on him [Remember Jiraya almost died when Tsunade and 4 tailed Naruto went all out on him] because the only other who survived the rampage of 4 tails was Deva path.

Itachi on the other hand has piss poor stamina, his amaterasu wouldn't work against Oro. Tsukuyomi can't kill the immortal oro...further oro is smarter not to get into that range...we haven't seen Itachi use a genjutsu and Susanoo at the same time that gives oro the req advantage.

Plus oro always starts his battles by summoning 2-3 giant snakes to which Jiraya had a counter but Itachi doesn't he'll be forced to go to MS thus draining his chakra and also giving oro the advantage.

Jiraiya wasn't trying to kill or even hurt Naruto or Tsunade...Oro was... Full health Orochimaru is a tough fight for Itachi but truth is full health Itachi takes out all of Oro's summons with Ameterasu so you can't say he can't combat that. Also, I hate to say it but Itachi's genjutsu wipes the floor with Oro, that was the reason Oro wanted an Uchiha body so badly so that he could counter Itachi's genjutsu. He knew he could never be on par with Itachi if he didn't. Oro in his prime full health is definitely Kage/Akatsuki level but he simply can't beat Itachi.

P.S. I don't really like any Uchiha but this is just the truth.

Correction, Oro wasn't trying to kill Naruto either bruh, he had no reason to and he clearly stated his intentions. Also, Oro didn't want Uchiha's body in regard of Itachi and his genjutsu, he had his own goals.

IMO we cant say Oro isn't on Itachi's level as they have two different styles of fighting and Itachi's techniques give him advantage.
