i agree... theoretically with nagato's moves he should be able to take on anyone....i honestly think on hashi fans would say other wise....the only reason he probably even lost to naruto was a) he wasnt trying to kill him and b) he used up almost all his chakra

For Chibaku Tensei, I don't see Hashirama getting a counter for it. He can grow Mokuton through it and crush it, but Nagato can stop him from forming the handsigns using Bansho Ten'in, Shinra Tensei, or any other attack. Or Nagato can attack him in the confusion of Chibaku Tensei being destroyed (shared vision through summons).

We have not seen anything with while from hashi. as far as I know the damn man is a beast for fighting madara and kyubi at the same time and winning. hashirama doesnt do multiple drawn out handseals to use mokuton. he just claps his hands together. hashirama can use mokuton roots to anchor himself to the ground for bansho tenin or the moment hashirama gets close to nagato hashirama could sprout wood from his body. there was a huge smoke cloud after chibaku tensei was destroyed. this would work more to hashiramas advantage then nagatos. during this time, hashirama can merge with his forest and leave a clone out. when nagato is vulnerable then hashirama could come out and strike him down with mokuton by growing it from his body.

I think a powerful enough Bansho Ten'in can render the roots useless. If not, Asura Path missiles should destroy any form of anchor Hashirama is using, sending Hashirama flying towards Nagato anyway.

If Hashirama gets close (Bansho Ten'in) and sprouts wood, Nagato can stop and subdue him with Asura Path arms and drain his chakra or take out his soul.

Its true that there's smoke when CB is destroyed, but again, Nagato won't let Hashirama destroy it. Kabuto was controlling Nagato in his fight and got over confident; Nagato will/should not let Hashirama do anything to CB. And for the smoke, Nagato can have shared vision through aerial summons, etc.
