So this chapter confused me a bit.
Till now the only time the sage had talked about a reincarnation that would complete his job the Bijuu were looking to Naruto as if they expected only one person to be like the sage. BUT the way the sage spoke in today's chapter showed that he had communicated with other reincarnations of his two sons in the past as well.
So, what's going on? I thought that the sage would appear only to those who had acquired chakra from all the 9 beasts and when that someone knew the names of all of them. Naruto is clearly the only one who achieved in doing that and that's obvious from the Bijuu's reaction.
So why the sage from all the times did he choose now to appear since supposedly having the Bijuu's chakra and knowing their names is not a prerequisite.
