A common misconception about sasuke.

Okay , so the common thing with sasuke is that " Oh he just wants to destroy the leaf against itachi's wishes, how selfish " or " sasuke just wanting to destroy kohona because he is a crybaby ".

So we all are clear that after sasuke learns the truth about Itachi he sets his sites on crushing kohona

when what a lot of you basers are missing is the Why. Okay so let me help you understand [ now before i go any further let me note I'm no uchiha fanboy nor am i a sasuke fanboy, but i am however a fan of the Original team 7 Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura. ]

So one of the main reasons for sasuke wanting to destroy the leaf is this:

Itachi had sacrificed everything for the Leaf , EVERYTHING , his clan, his girlfriend, his parents, even his honor just for them to label him a traitor

Now i don't care who you are no one wants to hear of a loved one being bad-mouthed about no one. Those fodder Leaf ninja talking trash about Itachi doesn't help the fact that Sasuke [ if tobi wasn't there ] would have brought heaven and hell down upon them.

During Sasuke fight with Naruto when he was almost completely blind he also gave this as a reason for wanting to destroy kohona:

and I can understand a little especially when you believe your older sibling

Now i'm not saying that destroying the leaf is right or wrong, i'm just not going to pick sides but this base needs a very clear understanding on the " Why " of things.

I had no idea people thought of sasuke as an evil or bad person. If your brother died a hero made sacrifices for those that piss on his grave i see why he wants revenge. But it is the ninja way...... self sacrifice sasuke does not understand it and he doesnt need to he feels cheated and has been but i think he will change.

None of your "evidence" matters, its all moot and still boils down to the fact that sasuke cant see the larger picture. Or he couldnt I believe he is starting to see the light now that hes talking to hashi. The example of him wanting to kill those men in the diner because they were bad mouthing itachi is a perfect example of my point. Those men knew nothing of what really happened only what they were told by their leaders and fellow shinobi and were simply making small talk about the information that they had at the time. In fact them wanting itachi dead just further shows that most people in the village respected the uchiha and didnt think that they deserved to be slaughtered the way they were. They had been told itachi was responsible (they had no reason to think otherwise) and felt that he was a traitor. How elese were they suppose to feel? How else should they react? However sasuke thinking that they deserve to be hurt for sticking up for his clan shows the over all childish nature of sasukes character. And sasuke still wants to kill hundreds (maybe thousands) of innocent villagers that know nothing of the coup or the real reason behind the slaughter, they just want to live in a village where they can raise their children and run a business but sasuke still finds them at fault. That doesnt make him a complex character it makes him a short sighted one, one that is only concerned for HIS FEELINGS and HIS GOALS and cant see the over all context of the events that lead to itachi being talked about in that manner. HE may not liek what they said as you stated no one wants to hear a loved one bing bad mouthed but sasuke does not get to decide what people say and who they talk about. Its not his place and his reasoning is flawed

And good point, he probably wouldn't. It was only a few moments after one of his friends died that he lost all faith. Losing 5 at once would destroy him.
