The mission was to search and capture the ninja who had held me captive for 7 years. From the information that I got from Kakashi-san, he was a ninja from the village where I was born, the Hidden Sound Village, but that village was long gone because of this Orochimaru, once a great Sannin here in the Hidden Leaf Village, who made the village his hideout. But I really didn't care about that. I was more concern about that ninja.
He was called the "Black Joker" for he tricked many people and hypnotized them to obey him. He is a criminal and one of Orochimaru's dogs. They say that after Orochimaru's death, he went by himself to aquire something, but they didn't know what, and that's what am going to find out!
My body is now fully recovered and I'm all set to go with gears around my waist. But then....
"What?!" Naruto hollered at me angrily. I guess he already knew. "You're coming with us on the mission?! Are you crazy?! You don't even know how dangerous it is out there!!"
I beginning to lose my patience and also hollered " I know!! I know how dangerous it is, but it is my problem to begin with and I'm going to fix it up!!"
"But," Naruto said worriedly. "You're not fit to go on a mission. You're not even a ninja."
I grinned and looked at him sternly. "You forgot something that only I possess." Pointing at my lips, I said " My singing."
"She's needed in this mission, Naruto." Kakashi-san said, appearing out of nowhere like a flash of light. Good thing he's here. "She can be the bait to lure out the ninja that we are after."
Naruto froze for a second and shouted "You're going to make her a bait?!" Somehow, I didn't like the sound of that either.
"Well, for your information, he was mainly interested in her ability of singing and maybe, she is the only key to what he was searching for. And don't think that she'll be in danger because we are going to protect while were at it. In addition, she has a voice that can blow up anyone's eardrum" said Kakashi-san, his eyes smiling. That last statement didn't sound nice to me.
Naruto glanced at me. He sighed, gave up the frustration." I guess I can't agrue. You just have to be careful, okay?" he reminded me with those serious eyes.
"Yes!" I said, similar to a soldier.
"Oh! Before I forgot, we still have another person in the party." Kakashi-san said.
Both me and Naruto tilted our heads to the side, curious of who the person was. "Who is it?" we said in unison.
Suddenly, a young man appeared in a black and gray armor and a spiral tatoo on his left shoulder, crouching down. He wore a mask of an animal and he has a dark scarlet hair.
"Oh, you're here at last, Buraian." Kakashi-san said, looking down at the guy.
Buraian? Is he the one who will be with us on the mission? He looks...weird to me and I'm getting a bit scared of him due to his aura. I stepped closer to Naruto, hiding behind his shoulder.
Naruto noticed my behavior and just stood there to make me feel safe.
"Buraian, introduce yourself to this two." Kakashi-san ordered him.
Buraian-san immediately stood up and slowly removed his mask. His face caught my outmost attention, with his eyes of amber looking at us. He might be as young as me, judging from his beautiful visage. Wait. What am I thinking?! I should focus on the mission, not him!
He bowed down at us, raised his head up and introduced himself. "My name is Buraian Kobushi, an Anbu. It's a pleasure to meet you both." He showed a gentle smile at us.
I feel my cheeks heating up from that smile of his. Ugh, not again! I shook my head to remove ths wierd feeling. And by the way, what's an Anbu?
"Hey, Sensei." Naruto called Kakashi-san. "Why do we need someone from the Anbu for this mission?" he asked.
"You see, this "Black Joker" is no joke. He's very skilled at hypnotism and at genjutsu. And not only that, he's a very keen-observer. He can easily sense the enemy's presence in an instance. Buraian is the perfect one for this kind of mission. He'll be a big help for us." Kakashi-san said.
I think I'm getting what an Anbu is. A very skilled ninja, much skilled that the likes of Naruto.
"Are you saying that we're not skilled enough to handle this kind of mission?" Naruto said with an irritated tone.
"Oh, I didn't mean that." Kakashi-san said with his eyes smiling. "It's just going to be a bothersome mission, that's all."
I guess I can say what we are all thinking. "He's just lazy."
Me, Naruto, Kakashi-san and Buraian-san are on our way to the Land of Sound to check if the "Black Joker" is still hiding there. We travelled our way through a forest to get there at daylight. I did say that I'll go with them but I didn't know that it'll be this hard. Walking all day in the woods with silence. I'm starting to remember that day when I was imprisoned and hypnotized, all quiet.
"Sorry, Takara." Naruto apologized as he looked at me with a concerned face over his shoulder.
"What are you apologizing for?" I asked.
"Aren't you tired yet? 'Cause I thought you might be tired already." he said.
"Oh, no! I'm not tired yet." I said, smiling. "You don't have to worry, Naruto, I can handle this!"
Naruto grinned. "That's the spirit! Keep at it!"
Suddenly, I caught Buraian-san's eyes glancing at me and quickly turned away. What's with him?
Out of nowhere, a hand covered my mouth and grabbed me, jumping on a tree branch.
The three of them looked up surprised. " Takara!!" Naruto shouted.
Who's holding me?! Is it the Black Joker?! I'm scared, I can't move my body!
Swiftly, a knife flew near my neck. "Don't come any closer or this girl will die!!" shouted the man behind me. No, he's not the Black Joker. If he was, he wouldn't dare swift a knife near my neck.
"Dammit!!" Naruto groaned, unable to make a move.
Kakashi-san glanced at Buraian, giving him a message.
Buraian stared at him and in a flash, he ran towards a different direction, opposite to where we are suppose to go.
My face paled as I saw him run away. Did he abandon me here?? How could he?
The man holding me hostage bursted out an evil laugh. "Ha! Look! One of you has already escaped!! What a coward he is."
"That's what you think.."Kakashi murmured and he threw something that made the whole area full of smoke.
I couldn't see anything and I was released from the man's grip. I was falling from the tree and I screamed for help.
Quickly, someone grabbed me just in time and jumped to another tree branch. The smoke was thick and I couldn't see the person holding me. Is it Naruto, or Kakashi-san. But, despite that, I know that the one who's holding me is not the man that held me hostage. Right now, it didn't matter as long as I'm out of his clutches.
"Are you okay, Takara-san?" That voice. It can't be!
As the smoke cleared, I saw Buraian's face, close to mine. For the first time, I heard him say my name. " You...you came back." I said in shock.
"Shhh..be quiet." he whispered to me as he held me tight.
My face was burning. I don't know what that means...What does it mean?? I shook of that idea and looked down to see Kakashi-san and Naruto facing the man.
