Chapter 3: Life as a Parent.
I woken up that early in the morning. Usually around 5:30am, since my schedule rejime. Contains early breakefeast and 3 hours of training. I slap onto my bewer couple of times, after hearing the alarm clock. Blarring out and then becoming quiet. After I hit the snooze button. Now my mornings, are the same as every human being. Getting up is really stressful since you just want to sleep. But you know you have to get up and get to work.
Getting change and dress with my anbu gear. I slowly walk out my room and down the stairs. My Appartment is 2 stories high. But quite small inside the building. I reach towards a kitchen, feeling a pressence near by and just ignore it. Feeling like I was being watch what I was doing, with curious eyes. I grab my breakfeast with consist of eggs and bacons, along with Orange juice, without the pulp thankfully.
After getting my fill and grabbing my anbu sword and mask. On the table and headed out the door. Just walking down the west side of my house to start my daily routine. Until half way through the walk, I quickly ran back to my house slamming the door open. Making Haku jump a bit, from the sudden burst. While going back to the kitchen and preparing her food. Saying how sorry I am and apologising. At the same time, preparing anything that she might like, which was Sausages and Scramble eggs. Looking back to my fridge, I notice how...
I hardly have any food and ingredients left. I knew I should've shop, before leaving the village. All I have left is pancakes and milk, which I thought okay. I can always buy more no biggie...
10:30am Shopping...
Okay when I said no biggie, I take it back. Holy crap was these foods expensive. I didn't even knew, eggs could cost about 100 Ryu. So I was being careful of what I was buying. With a bow and shout of thanks, he ran past me and Haku. Saying his hello and good bye to us, with a nod from both of us. We enter the store and walk to the clerk.
"Ah Mia. I was vondering, ven you were. going to show me ver daughter", The shop owner asked me, with a serene smile. His name was Johose Akadetsu. He and his family, really help me out back in the day. Making and sewing cloths for me and gears that would be best suited for combat. He was a great friend, though I can't complain about the prices. Consisdering how hard the materials were to come by.

His wife, Daphine Akadetsu. Had a full purple hair, that reaches down to her back. With a very elegant dress. That seem to fit for a ball or Nobles. Which in fact she is a noble and fell deeply in love with Jose. When I asked how she fell in love with him, surprised me alot. They both were into fashion and were VERY powerful Ninjas, ranking almost to a Anbu level. Which makes them Special Jonin strength.
Him being a Lighten element and her being a Water Element. Making them a deadly duo.

While shuddering at the one row rack, with a sign saying. Ankos special cloths racks.
That girl kinda creeps me out a bit. Not her personality or how she was Orochimarus student. Just that, her taste in cloths and style of fashion. She is a great interrigator and can easily get ninjas to spill their guts and secrets. Especially when she cuts them and dare I say...lick their blood. Which made me and Jose shudder. Probably thinking of the samething, seeing how I was looking through the shop.
While the one end, had summer cloths and swimsuits. Which I forgot that summer was close and only one month away. But luckily I don't have to start thinking about that any time soon. Though I was shock to see a sign saying. "Mia's Summer Special".
I remenice that back in my Chuunin days. I was told, ever since visiting Jose shop. Getting cloths and swimsuits for the summer. Since my taste seems to change alot during the summer. From full cloth swimsuits, to Bikini's and some days, I felt dareing and wore some summer cloths, that hug my figure nicely. Boy was I in a random mood in the summer...Then it came to me, that was the day. I help Jiraiya for his books and being his muse. Which was funny.
Jiraiya, even though I hang out with him. When ever his one student, Minato would go do missions. Or away, treated me like a daughter and some what a normal woman on certain days. Like when I was on probation, from accendently blowing up the Hokage office, with a Twin Water dragon jutsu. I was so furious and angry. That I lost control of my temper and went on a destructive rampage in the training fields.
After calming down and went to spend some time, at the river. Thats where I met him, starring at the spot where I was bathing and enjoying myself. I nearly killed the man, with jyuuken strikes and water dragon jutsu's. Thats how our friendship started of course, it was weird. But he was glad he met me and told me, that he felt like in the mood to teach someone some jutsus.
Then about his two books. One being "Gutsy Ninja" and the other being his awful dreaded Icha Icha books. Though i really loved the Gutsy Ninja book alot, he was very honor and surprised how I said, I love the main character and his guts to never give up. Which Inspire me to work even harder to become a better ninja. Then his Icha Icha books came into the question. I blasted him with a palm strike...
Though after some time, after helping him with his horrible handwriting a bit. I saw some of the details with girls and felt a little disgusted and some what...Jealous...
Oh well, enough about my past with Jiraiya. Looking over to my right where the door, to their messuring room is, seeing Haku coming out with a beautiful clothing of, a green Jacket like kamino that reaches down to her waist. With a brown sweat shirt, that was short sleeves. Since the Kamino was long sleeve, with a macthing long sleeve brown pants. She looked amazing and it fit her nicely too. Her smile was huge and big, showing her teeth. I couldn't believe she could smile any bigger.
Daphine loved the clothing and how she loved to see Haku smiling so much, her and Jose like the design and agree that they will make copies and more style and fabrics that fit Haku personally. Which we both nodded and payed them the 1500 Ryu. Daphine then handed me a bag, with 40 pairs of the same clothing she made, which is what I like about coming to this cloth shop. They work fast and make even copies. Their specialty is once they get done with the style, they use Shadow clones with enchance speed. Making more of that style.
With the bags in my hands and Hakus. We thank the two and wave good bye to them. Heading back to the streets with Haku happily humming to nothing in paticular. As well, getting complimeants. It was definatly a beautiful day. Once we get to our house and get her settle in with her cloths, I can go and work with Dragon with our training.
12:33Pm Training and Forgetting Lunch.
"Water Style! Twin Dragon jutsu!" I shouted, summoning the water around and fired the twin dragons towards Dragon or Sho. Since Haku is still afraid of anyone with a mask. Whom is watching me and sho train our heart out. Which, he succesfully dodge the two dragons and threw kunais and shurikens at me. Which I deflected them easily with my Anbu blade, then spung around, slashing criss cross. Using my wind nature to make Wind scythes. Sho sensing this, was flipping and bending, dodging them successfully.
We've been at this about probably 50 minutes, with the clock hitting 1:23pm. From Jutsus, to Kenjutsu with our blades and then taijutsu. Which we both are equally match, though Sho is slightly more advantage in this style than I am. I'm more gears to Ninjutsu, since of my Chakra control and reserves are better than a normal Hyuuga.
After taking a break from training, we both looked over to Haku. Who seem to be hugging her stomach a bit, then letting it go and smiling at us with a wave, then it occured to me! She hasn't eaten lunch yet. Aw man, running towards her and quickly grabbing her from almost passing out to the ground. With Sho right by my side instantly. We got Haku up on her feet. "Dont...Worry about me. Continue trianing." She said to us, which I just shook my head and told her, that we are going to stop and get her lunch. She kept protesting as we walk with Sho.
Haku please understand...I don't want you to not eat, while me and sho train. Man...Being a Mom is hard and I'm not doing a very good job of it either. She is a great interrigator and can easily get ninjas to spill their guts and secrets. Especially when she cuts them and dare I say...lick their blood. Which made me and Jose shudder. Probably thinking of the samething, seeing how I was looking through the shop.
While the one end, had summer cloths and swimsuits. Which I forgot that summer was close and only one month away. But luckily I don't have to start thinking about that any time soon. Though I was shock to see a sign saying. "Mia's Summer Special".
I remenice that back in my Chuunin days. I was told, ever since visiting Jose shop. Getting cloths and swimsuits for the summer. Since my taste seems to change alot during the summer. Which Jose told me, that it was normal for certain people and that the heat changes the person body alot. He made me a great selection. From full cloth swimsuits, to Bikini's and some days, I felt dareing and wore some summer cloths, that hug my figure nicely. Boy was I in a random mood in the summer...Then it came to me, that was the day. I help Jiraiya for his books and being his muse. Which was funny.
Jiraiya, even though I hang out with him. When ever his one student, Minato would go do missions. Or away, treated me like a daughter and some what a normal woman on certain days. Like when I was on probation, from accendently blowing up the Hokage office, with a Twin Water dragon jutsu. I was so furious and angry. That I lost control of my temper and went on a destructive rampage in the training fields.
After calming down and went to spend some time, at the river. Thats where I met him, starring at the spot where I was bathing and enjoying myself. I nearly killed the man, with jyuuken strikes and water dragon jutsu's. Thats how our friendship started of course, it was weird. But he was glad he met me and told me, that he felt like in the mood to teach someone some jutsus.
Then about his two books. One being "Gutsy Ninja" and the other being his awful dreaded Icha Icha books. Though i really loved the Gutsy Ninja book alot, he was very honor and surprised how I said, I love the main character and his guts to never give up. Which Inspire me to work even harder to become a better ninja. Then his Icha Icha books came into the question. I blasted him with a palm strike...
Though after some time, after helping him with his horrible handwriting a bit. I saw some of the details with girls and felt a little disgusted and some what...Jealous...
Oh well, enough about my past with Jiraiya. Looking over to my right where the door, to their messuring room is, seeing Haku coming out with a beautiful clothing of, a green Jacket like kamino that reaches down to her waist. With a brown sweat shirt, that was short sleeves. Since the Kamino was long sleeve, with a macthing long sleeve brown pants. She looked amazing and it fit her nicely too. Her smile was huge and big, showing her teeth. I couldn't believe she could smile any bigger.
Daphine loved the clothing and how she loved to see Haku smiling so much, her and Jose like the design and agree that they will make copies and more style and fabrics that fit Haku personally. Which we both nodded and payed them the 1500 Ryu. Daphine then handed me a bag, with 40 pairs of the same clothing she made, which is what I like about coming to this cloth shop. They work fast and make even copies. Their specialty is once they get done with the style, they use Shadow clones with enchance speed. Making more of that style.
With the bags in my hands and Hakus. We thank the two and wave good bye to them. Heading back to the streets with Haku happily humming to nothing in paticular. As well, getting complimeants. It was definatly a beautiful day. Once we get to our house and get her settle in with her cloths, I can go and work with Dragon with our training.
12:33Pm Training and Forgetting Lunch.
"Water Style! Twin Dragon jutsu!" I shouted, summoning the water around and fired the twin dragons towards Dragon or Sho. Since Haku is still afraid of anyone with a mask. Whom is watching me and sho train our heart out. Which, he succesfully dodge the two dragons and threw kunais and shurikens at me. Which I deflected them easily with my Anbu blade, then spung around, slashing criss cross. Using my wind nature to make Wind scythes. Sho sensing this, was flipping and bending, dodging them successfully.
We've been at this about probably 50 minutes, with the clock hitting 1:23pm. From Jutsus, to Kenjutsu with our blades and then taijutsu. Which we both are equally match, though Sho is slightly more advantage in this style than I am. I'm more gears to Ninjutsu, since of my Chakra control and reserves are better than a normal Hyuuga.
After taking a break from training, we both looked over to Haku. Who seem to be hugging her stomach a bit, then letting it go and smiling at us with a wave, then it occured to me! She hasn't eaten lunch yet. Aw man, running towards her and quickly grabbing her from almost passing out to the ground. With Sho right by my side instantly. We got Haku up on her feet. "Dont...Worry about me. Continue trianing." She said to us, which I just shook my head and told her, that we are going to stop and get her lunch. She kept protesting as we walk with Sho.
Haku please understand...I don't want you to not eat, while me and sho train. Man...Being a Mom is hard and I'm not doing a very good job of it either. Boy did I feel really awful now, Haku ate a very early breakfeast at 5:30am. Probably didn't help her child body, along with her being a Orphan, who doesn't find food out on the streets, with probably a 5 out of 50 chances, anything that was edible.
Telling Sho to help me out with Haku, we started to head back to the village. Looking for any places that were cheap to eat at.
2:30Pm
Alright, I did not realize how bad my reputation was. We went to resturants that I would useually eat at. Only to get told to leave or saying their booths were full, boy did I know how Naruto feels. Which I to converse with the blond, since I was close to the boy along with Iruka. Naruto was sort of like my unknown cousin. While Iruka was like a brother and the people at Ichiraku's were like sister and uncle.
Now your probably wondering, why me and Sho. Are being told to not enter these Resturants? Well lets say it was a very stupid reason on the cilvillian side and the prices of the food. Since me and Sho, would interact with Naruto. They believe that Kyuubi influenced us to be his minions. Heh funny, real funny...Though I will gladly help and assist Naruto any way possible. Heck, even Sho treats Naruto with out most respect and plays with the boy. During some random free time.
After the 9th resturant. I was growling and yelling at the People. Scarring Haku a bit from that, since she was resting on my back. Blinking her eyes and leering at the people who were shooing us. Like we are animals, though they said will help Haku. Since she wasn't as they would say...'tainted'.
Boy was Sho using every ounce of strength. Pushing me away and glad I was too busy holding Haku. That, he didn't need to worry about me using my jyuuken and Anbu blade. Now we are sitting on a bench, with my eyes watering and sniffling. Trying so hard and despertly, looking for a place to feed Haku. Who probably is going to die of starvation. Though Sho kept reminding me, that everything will be alright. I just shook my head, I was at a lost. My hopes and trying to care for haku. Was dropping and losing fate of myself.
Haku seeing this and I saw it this time. Looked very worried and sadden, hearing her stomach growl out loud. Along with mine and Sho's. We all kinda blushed at that revelation, realizing that we all are hungry. After trying one more time to find a resturant, with my strength leaving me and telling Haku that I will still carry her. Since she is still weak from being hungry, how? Well let say, since her body is now new to being fed breakfeast. Was trying to adjust to the new schedule.
We try one more resturant and said they would gladly have us. Making all three of us smile weakly. Then the prices for our orders, which by the way, I have the menu infront of me. Along with asking how much all 3 meals. With Lamain and egg rolls for me. Rice and oni-giri's for Sho and Ramen and Curry rice for Haku. Which was a totoal of 560 Ryu together. Their the most cheapest thing on the menu and since I was running low on funds. Along with Sho who only haves about 1850 Ryu on hand.
The stupid waiter increse the price from 560 to 2300 ryu! I was about to refuse the price but, too weak to argue or even fight. I just brought my money out along with Sho. But told him no! He blink at me, I can't let him waste money just for me and Haku. I told him pay his food seperatly and oh what a surprise it was the regular. 160 Ryu for his food, seems I was the target for today. Ever since last night, I guess they saw me hug Naruto and pleaded for his help on finding Haku. Low life jerks! So I just paid the food which drop to a still expensive 2200 Ryu. Just for Haku's food and mine...
Sho was fuming and was breathing alot of fire out of his nose. Losing slight control over his fire chakra. Getting really mad at the way, everyone was treating me. After finally getting our Lunch/Dinner we headed home with full bellys and a decent mind...
1 am...
I just sat downstairs crying...Who knows how long I looked at my money, seeing I only have 350Ryu left and just threw them into the bewer and slam it shut with alot of force and sat abruptly down on the chair. Slamming my head and hands down on the table, letting out all the frustration from today. I was litterly pounding and punching the table and just letting the tears go.
Looking up and resting my chin on my arm. With a disgrace and defeated look on my face. I couldn't believe how easily broken I became..."Mom...What am I sappoused to do? Its only been 4 days since I adopted Haku. Now shes going to be taken away from me, just because I couldn't afford to take care of her", I whisper out while, letting the sobs and tears just soak my sleeves badly. I heard from Sho, that he inform the Hokage and I told him not to get any hopes up. Since their cillvillians and involves Naruto. Hokage couldn't do anything that they do with their buisness. As true to my words, Sho was venting out his anger.
At the training grounds, where you can still hear the fire balls and explosions being heard. Even at my appartment. I can hear his signature jutsus along with his screams. I then whip my head up and saw Haku, leaning against the wall. With the same sad face that I wore. I just close my eyes and told haku to come to me, which I bear hug her close.
I was constantly apologizing to Haku and letting her know, to never say that it was her fault. I told and explain everything to her about a ninja's life. Then explaining how Ninja's don't get paid well during missions, since half the money goes to the village.
"Hey mom?" She asked, looking up to me from the hug. I lean back a bit, whiping away the tears looking down at her. Wondering what she wanted to asked and whoo whee...This will probably put me down a peg or two. "Couldn't you just...Use Shadow clones? To clear multiple D-Ranks and Low C-Rank missions??". Which I blink and saw her slightly grin and I looked straight ahead, with the tears slowly coming to a stop and boom! Theres the light bulb and more hugs and a noogie to Hakus head and just saying how, it was a great idea and wonder.
Oh heck with it, she was a genious! My Shadow clones are solids! Then I asked her where she came up with the idea, then explain how one of my Shadow clones. Though was transform into my younger self...For odd reason I don't know. But remember the fun conversation they were having, during my training with Sho.
Haku was able to touch and shake hands with the shadow clone. That she couldn't believe how solid and real it felt. Though the clone did warn her, that she can still disperse like a regular clone. After explaining the clone and telling me how, I could probably get alot of D-Rank and Low C-Rank missions done that way.
That sold it, I adopted a very kind hearted child and blessed to find her, which I even said that to her for real. Causing the girl turn bashful and modest quickly and then shook her out of her thoughts. Handing her an I.D and a book bag, which she look over at the two items. Then back to me with a raise eye brow.
"Haku, I was questioning the decision from the day. That we finally got you settle and with what you just told me. Which I may say... is very intellegent for someone of your age. That and was going to save it for your birthday tomorrow." Seeing her eyes widen and widen, with me slowly telling her and finally announcing. That if she wants. Can attend to the Ninja academy when ever feels ready.
I got tackle to the floor and came up a method of our Money problems. By that night, we both stood up a little later. Planning everything and getting things ready, while I map out places, where we wouldn't get rip off or told to leave the resturants...Which was slim to none. Being the Ninja shop, scrolls, tools and Jose's shop. To Ichirakus and a new resturant that was going to open tomorrow.
After that and took the entire day off tomorrow, since it was Sunday. I spent the rest of the day, along with Sho, Yugao and Yamato. Which I was very glad and happy. That they were helping me get Haku all caught up and know the history about the Fire nation.
Tomorrow, will be Haku's first day at the Ninja Academy...
