Hagaromo can beat ANYBODY, yes ANYBODY..... the Juubi, he sealed Kaguya.... his fight is on another level. Should we compare Gai to Bils next?

Dude your thread is a biased thread. What you don't realize is that 8th gate is basically sucide. Your over hyping a taijutsue character here, making him be able to beat guys like Sasuke, Kakashi in current form? What is this a joke?

You ever played Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2? well in that game when an enemy ninja is dying, he can do a last minute suicide technique that CAN kill both of you. Most of the time it succeeds but not always. 8th gate isnt a sure factor and im not making it out to be, and yes he will surely die from it. The ninja who kamikaze themselves in Ninja Gaiden always dies but sometimes you die too and guess what..... its game over, you lost. Listen, i didnt create the character Kishi did and gave him that OP technique talk to him.

Hirudora has been shown to destroy Susanoos its right there in the manga why would he all of a sudden not be able to destroy Kakashi's or Sasuke's?

That's an ethics debate that I don't have the mindpower for right now. Just saying that just because Gai can go 8th gate DOESN'T make him superior. Lots of character are extreeeemely powerful at the cost of their lives. Example: Minato/Hiruzen can solo anyone because of reaper death seal

Guy winning in 8th gate is not victory it's a loss since he will die in the end. I don't need to play a game to know whats suicide and what is not. He may gain power but at a cost of his life. Kakashi and Sasuke don't just have Susanoo, Kakashi can go intangible any time or even transport himself to other dimension if Gai is to use 8th Gate. Not to mention the skill set he has to take on any opponent. His deductive mind will defiantly play a role on the mindless kicks or show by Might Gai. Sasuke on the other hand has great flame control, He could easily surround himself in flames and wait for Gai to land a kick. Making his leg burn into crisp. Not only that he could use gentjutsue if required. Gai needed other team mates to help him land that hit on Madara. Without anyone helping him in a fight we do not know if Gai is capable of landing those hits on anyone. Being a ninja is not just about power it is about tactics to. Wait are we talking about Kishi's fight here? Or are we talking about a fight we made up our selves? Kishi never had this fight so there is no going there for answers really. If Kishi was to make this fight it would only be for plot reasons and as far as I know Itachi and Gai have no bad blood between them besides knowing Kakashi and Sasuke. So yup that argument goes out the window. So now back to talking about this fanfic fight we are discussing about.

Gai has fought only Kakashi that is a sharingan user, we do not know if he has fought any other sharingan users besides Kakashi. Since Uchiha massacre happen, we haven't really seen many sharingan users around. Itachi compared to Kakashi has both sharingans, not to mention he also has a mangekyou and even stronger version of genjutsue Gai has ever faced. So let me get this straight you are comparing a one-eyed Sharingan user Kakashi with a dude with both eyed sharingan and saying Gai has something to counter his genjutsue? Yeah ok try harder.

What evidence are you talking about? We have no evidence besides hype. You are falling for the hype nothing more. I just told you what Gai's strategy was and yet you are still not understanding how it would fail? Now lets try to use our deductive skills.. Gai will close his eyes and do ballay? Or better yet he will go drunken style and confuse Itachi to the point where he finds an opening to stop his genjutsue. Oh shit! None of those will work since he could point his finger and genjutsue him!

Just because the author did not want him to fail, doesn't mean he won't fail simple as that. With the lack of evidence of genjutsue users he fought. You are right it is hard to come to a conclusion of what will happen. With what I see and know he doesn't have a counter. Also going 8th Gate would be a immature way of handling this. Knowing full well it would kill him in the end. Oh I did not even mention other techniques Itachi would use.
