And yet Gai only seriously got injured ONCE in all of his encounters
A man who doesnt use ninjutsu can solo most of the verse, and heres how:
Gai vs Itachi- I love Itachi, my favorite Uchiha but if you think that finger pointing ish he used on Naruto is going to do something to a master like Gai then dont keep asking why your social life fkn sucks. Itachi is amazing, and even more so when he starts whipping out his Mangekyo lattes, Gai will easily dodge Amaterasu, (sasuke outran it for awhile cmon) and in an extreme situation, with 7th gate he can run up on Itachi akin to how the Ay ran up on Sasuke during the Summit
Gai vs Hashirama- 8th gate is a must. This is Hashirama. Need i say more?
Nagato - Hmmmmm i can see Gai getting by Chibaku, Bensho and the others but what would he do against a charged up Shinra? Gai has little for that he would have to somehow.....idk Maybe he can withstand it. If a 6 tail Kyuubi can, a 7th gate Gai should be able to. However thats only against a quick Shinra, if Nagato gets off a Konoha destroying lvl Almighty Push, Gai is finished. Speed dictates his victory
Gai vs Obito: This is tough. Only way i see it happening is if he goes 8th gate. Bend that good space/time and i think Obito is finished. When you bend spacetime, you're effectively changing the rules or reality. Who knows if Obito's phasing still works
Ok i provided 4 examples. List you character below and ill methodically explain how Gai incapcitates them =D
