Gai's speed, (like Naruto's) is often inconsistent. Not because it is not as fast as always, but because of other characters with equal speed.

It can be argued that Gai is the fastest in the series based on the fact that no other character bends space when they move, however, inversely it can be argued that this speed is inconsistent as theoretically anyone faster than 7th gate Gai should be able to create Hirudora with any punch or any movement, yet we know this to be false.

So I guess it depends on your view of Gai's speed.

Are you implying that he spun in a complete circle to look at all 9 of them? Because otherwise he didn't need eye contact for 8/9 of them.

That is what is being implied with that scan.

I've been going over the scans of that issue and I don't see any of the bijuu standing behind Sasuke so yeah he glanced at all of them. as they were standing mostly behind Naruto and Hagoromo. and Sasuke was standing opposite of them.

now I can say this for certain as at best, I am just looking mainly behind Sasuke for any bijuu and haven't seen any really drawn in behind him. maybe the anime will make it clearer. in which case you would be correct in assuming that he did not need to make eye contact.

But from the panels in the manga it looks like he literally glanced at all of them standing to his front before solo clapping them.

You forgot that this was about Sasuke fought against Madara Jin and Kaguya, not against Naruto and the Tailed Beast?

Guy has fought against Uchiha people and he knows well how to put up a good fight against them. Sasuke is very smart, but Guy's speed is ridiculous fast and Sasuke's teleportation won't save him. Once Guy use Night Month, he can distort the space. Sasuke can use Amaterasu around him, however Guy dies anyway so he takes the chance to kill him in that state before Sasuke getting the chance to activate Perfect Susanoo in time. You can't dodge or block Guy's attack unless you survive it which no one except Juubi Jinchurikis.

I think his match could go either way.

You said earlier that if Sasuke starts out with PS, then he wins right?

However, you may have forgotten that Sasuke can't react to most of Guy's speed and movements, did you?
Let me explain, this is just like a figure jumping and running around with full speed plus Sasuke with Perfect Susanoo has to worry about Guy and be prepared for Guy's attack since it is very damn powerful.

BTW, Sasuke couldn't even react to Kaguya when she sent him to the other dimension.
So, my point is that, Sasuke in Perfect Susanoo cannot react to Guy's speed since Sasuke has to look up around and watch where Guy runs to, and the big problem for Sasuke is when Guy attacks. His teleportation won't help, but if Sasuke tries to fly away with Perfect Susanoo, then Guy fly by using jump footspeed.

If it's not shown, then it was off-panel. If he made a glance (meaning eye-contact) according to Hagoromo, then yes, he spun around as he did in that scan.

Sasuke can easily avode all of his attacks. And has strong enough Susano to kill Gai
