Yeah, it was a joint effort when they were fighting nowhere near their full power. With the feats they have shown, either one could do everything the team accomplished against Madara. That includes beating him.

and you can't say for sure either could have done what it took both of them to do, for example if Naruto wasn't holding down Madara's limbo clone, it could have stopped Sasuke from slicing Madara into two

I'm talking about Bijuu Chakra. Not normal chakra. Madara had more Bijuu than Obito, and he ended up stronger than him. Madara absorbing the Shinju obviously gave him a power boost. He came back refreshed, with more chakra, and his outfit changed slightly.

If Sasuke was alone, he'd be using Susanoo to fight and not relying on moves like Chidori. They were fighting together and their full power was nowhere near necessary to handle Madara in his One Eyed State. If a Sasuke using Chidori and Rinnegan teleportation along with a Naruto using the Gudo Dama staffs and Jiton Rasengan caused him to flee, then a Naruto using clones and BDFRS or a Sasuke using Perfect Susanoo would beat him as well.

funny thing is 8th gate guy would never make it out of round 1. You do realize that 8th gate has a very short time limit. If we determine by manga scans, it was literally a few moves and that was it.... hardly 5 mins at best.
while Obito's intangibility lasts 5mins + 10min of Izanagi= dead Guy. I don't know why Nagato is even there, this fight won't be about going toe to toe with 8th gate Guy....No one can do that. 8th gate Guy beat the living shit out of Jin Madara. So its all about outlasting Guy....not overpowering him.

4 killer bee and A
5 muu oonaki minato
6 current sasuke
7 current naruto

infinite chakra doesn't stop him from suffering from the physical strain from using 8 gates
I think he has relatively higher chances of beating the bold matchups

your first point is fair enough, but you're forgetting that the Madara that fought Guy was given a power down before facing Naruto and Sasuke. Yes he might have gotten more bijuu chakra, BUT his main offense and defense his Gudo Dama had been teleported away earlier by Minato.. He had it while he was fighting Guy mind you..

You have a point here, but I've already factored in how he'll fare against Naruto or Sasuke even with his Gudo Dama. Still loses.

Not to mention he didn't have his Gudo Dama for the majority of the fight since Kakashi and Minato warped them away.
