What I mean is that even if Itachi knew that Danzo was going to stop their plan, Itachi wouldnt have stopped Danzo. Like Danzo stated to Sasuke, "Self-Sacrifice... a Nameless Shinobi that protects Peace from within its Shadow... that is a True Shinobi".

Because what Danzo did was right for the village Itachi never resented Danzo and even followed Danzo orders afterwards.
