great work but one correction the 4th was from the namikaze clan not uzumakiI was thinking about the 4th and the kyuubi fight and came up with several theories
1. The kyuubi attack happened more than once
I think that the kyuubi attack allover the fire country before it reached konoha. Its implausible to think that he could have came with a plan to split up the kyuubi's chakra in the heat of the battle. I think he planned it beforehand when he heard of the fox's attacks.
2. Reasons for the attack
We know itachi is five yrs older than sasuke, who is about or 1 year older than naruto. The fox attack happened when naruto was born making itachi 5 or 6 at that time. Itachi was a prodigy and i think maadara saw that. I think the fox attack may have been to first cast doubt on the uchicha cuz some of the elders may have heard of the sharingan's ability to control the kyuubi. I think maadara wanted to do what he did 1o yrs later. Get rid of the uchicha clan and i think he needed a young uchicha (sharingan) prodigy , itachi back then sasuke now.
3.Naruto's key !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think i found naruto's key. I was rereading the Pain vs jiraiya arc and came found. when u first read u mighnt not realize it but if u reread it u'll find it.

the key could be imprinted on the belly of that frog. I think jiraiya was on his travels when the kyuubi attacked. The 4th placed the seal on the frog and ordered to give to jiraiya the only other person who had the contract with the frogs
4.Yin chakra
The 4th sealed the yin chakra in himself. Notice in this chapter jiraiya says he sealed the yin chakra ONLY using the shiki fuujin justu .

the shiki fuujin is a techique in which you sacrifice ur own soul so that the soul of ur opponent can be sealed. Both ur souls are sealed in the belly of the death god.
I think he used a different variation of the shiki fuujin justu to seal the yang chakra in naruto without his soul being taken. But i'm not sure cuz jiraiya doesnt mention the justu.

but i have a theory of how it works. I think the sealing is done before the baby is born and when its cloe to being born. Since the baby is still in the womb and unborn it techniquelly doesnt posses a soul, since the death god sealing justu requires one maybe it takes the soul of the mother. Thus the mother soul is taken just before naruto is born then he come out.
4. Why seal the kyuubi in naruto
in the chapter we know that the 4th wanted naruto to complete that justu. What justu i dont know. But i think its a justu that required massive amounts of chakra.

But why give his son so much power jiraiay suspected that the 4th knew of a great impending danger. Maybe he suspected maadara was behind this just like jiraiya was starting to.

i think the 4th had one too, since he had a contract with the toads its not entirely impossible. Maybe his prediction was something about the kyuubi and maybe thats why he sealed it in naruto

Some ppl have being saying that there is an uzumaki bloodline ability, having lots of chakra. I think it may be true cuz how can could the 4th seal a chakra machine , split into 2. It took a lot of stamina and chakra and thats why he is the strongest.

Minato Gaiden? what is Gaiden mean anyway! btw its kinda cool to watch Minato Gaiden,actually i think its in jiraiya's book that naruto holding!
Basically if you think someone's post is very good or very bad you give them reputation. This thread I gave the author reputation because of the hard work and insightful discussion he started. That's also when people thank him too.
I've always thought the chakra may have been split to prevent Madara to be able to summon the Kyuubi again. Sorry if that was posted, I'm kind of tired.

A gaiden is like a mini story of the past of someone...like the kakashi gaiden where kakashi got his sharingan or the student teacher era where jiraiya was shown teaching nagato yahiko and konan.
