Thank you for the feedback! I like the card design too, even though sometimes it's painfully obvious i'm just using MS Paint. I've settled the game mechanics and basically im aiming towards a more complex version of the Fire Emblem battle system. Each character has their own unique HP, Chakra and attacks as well as a move number. This indicates how many squares they can move each turn. The map is split up into 6 or so areas separating alliance HQ & Akatsuki's hideout- water style ninjas can pass over water, there will be a added bonus for the element/landscape match and ninjas with the flight ability can pass over any surface. Also what ideas do you have for game mechanics?
On each ninja counter on the map you can the characters' Image, Beginning HP and Chakra. Another feature a player can focus on is that you can't see the enemies jutsu, element or abilities Alliance HQ will be a special area where if you choose to use the right ninja in it (Inoichi, Ino, Shikamaru, Shikaku, Hyuuga etc) you will learn more about the enemies pieces and the details and effects hidden from so they don't take affect and surprise you when until it's too late. Akatsuki similarly has Yamato as a source of intel which can be visited at any point in the game, whilst easier to use- with only 1 HP point it can be lost forever if left open.

(Inoichi and Yamato, examples of HQ specialists)
The goal is to take the enemies king. If Bee and Naruto or the 5 Kage are killed then Akatsuki wins. If Kabuto and Tobi are defeated then the Alliance take the victory.
The pieces i'm the most proud of are the Samurai characters, the Sound Four and Nagato/Itachi. (Nagato has basic HP but OP attacks and up to 5 summons that all make him harder to kill, Itachi is just a bit of a powerhouse but if defeated by Naruto can be converted and used against you)

You can apply different strategies not only in how you play and command your troops around the battlefields but also in how you pick your teams. The Seven Ninja Swordsmen al have abilities that compliment each other and as such all 7 of them used correctly in a water environment may prove to be even more dangerous than Tobi, you can attack with a all Samurai team full of Kenjutsu users who destroy chakra-focused enemies, you can pick a fast army who can pass through, fly and speedblitz their way through to the other side of the board or you can march your main piece straight into battle and blitz every battlefield or you can even just invest in a powerhouse and trust in Madara Uchiha or Nagato to win.
I'm so excited for this project and I hope the jutsu sheet and the actual production of the game go as smoothly.
