[Spoilers] 476: Awful Chapter

Hey, all! Some of you have probably seen me around, and hopefully you know that I tend to be on the courteous, if not, nice when I post, but I have got to get this off my chest...

This chapter was terrible.

Did I miss something, or does this sum it up:

Sasuke (assuming the voice of everybody who saw how last the chapter ended): DUDE! What is up with your disgusting arm.
Danzo: Eh, even though I want to kill you, I'll tell you some other time...
Sasuke: K. By the way, person who I have never actually met, and who ignores my questions, is it true that Konoha is a den of thieves?

Danzo: ...Imma use my head-on charge attack, since that level of attack is obviously going to work in this intense of a match. Yup, definitely not a ploy.

Meanwhile...

Kakashi: Well, gang. We have been standing in the snow for three chapters, now is the time to gain a sense of urgency.
Naruto: KK. Imma flashback to a bunch of recent stuff then pass out. lolbye
*Naruto passes out.

Danzo: Ah, Itachi... He was a good man. Let me remind you about some things that happened that I was not there for.
Sasuke: So, after you told me various things... "IT! was true."
Danzo: Wait, which part? Anyway, you are greedy. You should be more generous, like me.
Sasuke: You have to be one of the most self-serving people in the series! I'm so over this.
*Squish

OH MY GOSH! IT WAS A CLONE! Who would have guessed?

Was there anything new that was revealed in this episode?

I was disappointed but I would not say it is awful. I mean fillers are awful. This is just really taking its time. Which is kinda hard since we are waiting weeks inbetween which is the hardest part otherwise I wouldn't even be disappointed if I knew another one would be out like the next day...

That is true. The first couple pages are stunning. I am just kind of upset that nothing in the story was really advanced. The Naruto series has a special place in my heart for being really engrossing and pretty creative. This did not cut the mustard.

I also have very high expectations from the manga and the anime because it is one of the few things I really look forward to during the week. So I feel you on that. It didn't move us that far at all as per the plot. But there's always next week... =/

danzo seems less evil than sasuke now and next chapter naruto is going to have major character development

I don't get why you're calling this a bad chapter. It was well drawn, confirmed to us the truth of Itachi (which justifies the chapter alone), and stood as a preliminary chapter for even greater ones to come.

You always have to expect the number of points one chapter brings up to be vary. I hope you don't watch Bleach. Cause if this is your view on chapters it would be ridiculously painful for you.

Bleach Manga is very difficult....So many with so little point.

Anyway, im actually in agreement with the OP.

Kishi wont be making another manga until after xmas.

And the next thursday/friday is new years, so guess what? No shonen jump then either!

3 weeks break we have, and the christmas cliffhanger is will sasuke beat danzo, thats right, sasuke, the guy tobi needs to sync with gedo maso and complete his plans as the akatsuki leader and the entire moons eye plan.

Hmmm, i wonder! (Sasuke wont die, danzou probably will, or maybe something weird).

How did Danzou saying "so he told you?" mean anything? Sasuke didnt even ask enough questions to allow us to know what danzo meant by "so he told you?".

Also considering every single thing danzou has done so far is lie and decieve, we come to the very logical conclusion that whatever he says could and probably is a complete pile of lying bullsh!t.

The chapter was extremely weak, especially as an xmas cliffhanger.

And YES, im starting to get really pissed off at the fact that Kakashi and co have been standing in some random arsehole of nowhere for like 15 god damn chapters (since the 5 kage fight).

I think Kishi just needed to make a pre xmas chapter and wanted to spend time not doing the manga, so quickly rolled one out.


The art is great, the story isnt for the chapter.

Its like Lord of the Rings, brilliant CGI, but its 9 hours of a homosexual midgit destroying a ring, therefore, awe stunning, but absolutely freaking boring.

Quite frankly the chapter could look so good i think im tripping on LSD, but if the story is absolutely pointless or repeated-i will consider it crap.

I dont think that chapter was all that bad, but some of the things are true. Now danzou is going back to tell all the flashbacks that we have seen like 3 times from other shinobi already, but Danzou might had some new things.

This whole thing with the Sharingans on his arm is just crazy, I think its getting out of hand now, now we have like alien mutations of some kind, Danzou has Sharingans all over his arm and it was covered by a robatic shell which was cover in wraps. Its just getting too crazy.

True there were in th snow for like 3 chapters. This thing with Itachi either being good or bad has gone for a long time, the truth needs to be revealed already.

Danzo vs Sasuke was entertaining till the fake out. I have to agree with Naruto and Co. That storyline was promising and I guess the real peak was when Madara came and revealed more history to them, but they have literally been in the same place for ages now and Naruto fainting was like Kishi giving us giant slap in the face.

The Last chapter was...... Dissapointing... The story hasn't really gone anywhere from what was in the last Episode...

The fact that Naruto and co have been in the same place for SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO frigging long is getting irritating...
And Naruto Hyper-ventilating and then fainting was just the ceram of the Joke(and the Joke seems to be on us sadly )

I really hope the Fainting part and all is headed somewhere and that the first chapter of the next year won't be awfully Boring being the first chapter of the year and all.. I remember someone suggesting on another thread that the Fainting part by Naruto maybe a Pre-cursor to the revelation of what Itachi gave Naruto...

And someone said about the Drawing being good and the likes... -- to this I admit, the drawing might have been good, but if the story is Boring it wouldn't be worth watching much now would it ...???(Unless you plan on copying the stuff and the likes >.<)

It has been. Have you forgotten what Itachi did to Naruto in the forest? He gave him some power so that way he could protect Konoha against Sasuke. He wanted to protect Konoha through Naruto, and protect Sasuke through Naruto.

think of it like this, in terms of ninjutsu.
The past few chapters have been the gathering of chakra for a very, very, destructive and awesome technique. In one or two chapters, this ninjutsu will be released, giving awesomeness.
In other words, be patient. I sense something major coming.

The chapter DID have action, it had sasuke vs danzou, the problem i had with the chapter is it just repeated everything we already knew.

Sometimes i feel quite patronised reading naruto, especially anime, when they explain basic stuff for the 50th time lol.

Kakashi and co are just standing around doing nothing as if they EXPECT people to meet them and have a nice little chat, in real life, they would have left a long time ago or moved somewhere else, why hang around???

Sasuke and danzou are just repeating the same stuff tobi told sasuke ages ago, aaaaand thats about it.

Also having danzou get around susano'o and tricking sasuke when he has mangekyou...ehhhh...

Its annoying when Kishi makes sharingan the ultimate weapon, and then has people without proper sharingan manage to take them on as an equal if not more powerful.

sharingans power curve is all over the freaking place.

Its as if kishi is listening to fans saying "sharingan is too powerful" so then he lets sharingan get beaten, but all that leads to is plotholes into why sharingan is randomly beaten all of a sudden when we had 300 chapters drilled into us that MS tsukyomi is unstoppable, even with normal sharingan, let alone non uchiha sharingan..
