I think two clones would turn out like every other fight naruto had using his clones, they get easily defeated. The reason being when he has to jump someone he seems to use less concentration and just attack recklessly. One clone or he himself would do better IMO.

Not one of naruto's KM clones has been defeated and they are going up against kages.
By your logic, lee with weights should still be able to solo sasuke with sharingan.
KM clone is at least as fast as the third.
We've seen that a KM clone will hit the third with a guided rasenshuriken.
We've seen that a rasenshuriken gives good damage to the third, disables his raiton shield, and incapacitates him for a while.
We've seen that without his raiton shield, the third gets cut up by much weaker wind attacks.
saying "oh Naruto clones get one-shotted on low diff all the time in filler so any Naruto clone (regardless of their speed, durability, offensive ability, sensing ability, and other abilities) will always get oneshotted as easily" is just an awesome display of logic.
