3rd Hokage>4th Hokage??? (Rep wise)

There has been much debate about which of these two were better than the other as each has been hyped by multiple characters on how they were the best. However, I just thought about how Madara attacked the villiage after the 3rd retired (old/weaker) and Minato became Hokage. Why did he wait?? Was the third more a threat that he waited until he was weak and not much of a threat, and was intimated? Or did he simply underestimate the Minato, regardless all the hype already surrounding him?

I think in some way this showed that the third was a bigger threat than Minato.

Madara waited because he wanted the 9 tails from kushina. It had nothing to do with who was hokage. If kushina was givin birth to naruto while the 3rd was still hokage he still would have attacked.

madara attacked konoha bcoz that was the only time when kushina would give child birth i.e. the point whenm the seal would be weakest...which means at that time only nine tailed fox could be released thats y he decided that time....and no other reason...
personally i feel minato is the strongest kage due to his space/time jutsu and supernatural talent and intelligence

i agree fully but the 3rd hokage is the greatest hokage he was able to beat 1 and 2 hokage together by him self so i think saru could finish madra off for once and for all

The timing was perfect because Kushina was giving birth

also that even shows that the 4th is superior to the 3rd: Hiruzen had the whole village, basically an army, with him yet he was desperate for Mianto to get there (DONT say he was old he was just as old as Jiraiya, and Jiraiya was the best at the age he died) and than Minato took on both problems ALONE! he also put up a berrier not even hiruzen could enter ALONE and that in a few seconds WHILE fighting the Kyubi

and at Hiruzen beat the 1st and 2nd together, that fight was kinda a joke, at least for Shinobis at that level, akso he would have lost really really badly if it werent fot MINATOS tech, and from the context we can even assume that was his best tech since it was his absolutely last resort, but Minato has better techs, also he invented the dead demon seal

Only reason the 3rd would be considered greater is the fact that he did a full hokage run, and had to get re-elected when the 4th died, and then he died in battle, but from looking at them from tech perspective, yeah Minato was/is the greatest hokage, look at the techs he invented whilst alive, if it weren't for him in a way, Kabuto would've had all the hokage's for impure world ressurection, rasengan and ftg, just imagine where he'd be now with even more experience, and shuriken shadow clone is the siznit

:shrug: Madara attack the village because the host of Kyubi Kushina is at a weakest state when giving birth to naruto so Madara can easy extract the kyubi from the host not the 3rd hokage is weak.
