when oro summoned those coffins the ritual was already performed!!!! because he didn't use any seals to perfrom edo tensei on his subordinates while fighting hiruzen.....so even if he tried to summon minato, by then he would have already known that minato can NOT be summoned.....so when he summoned the 3rd coffin minato wouldn't have been there...if he was at all there then why did hiruzen attempt to stop the 3rd coffin from opening???? clearly he knew better than any1 that those sealed by shinigami can not be brought back...so he shouldn't have had to worry about the other coffin...still he stopped it from opening....which means that the 3rd coffin had someone who could have been summoned to the real world.....and madara is the best choice to fit into it....

To everyone believing it wasn't Minato

Orochimaru tried to revive him but it failed, Sarutobi perhaps didn't know whether it was possible to summon Minato, as he didn't know much about the technique and possible Tobirama never tried summoning someone whose soul was sealed so he wasn't sure and better safe than sorry. Although I doubt a technique such as edo tensei could be stopped by a few shuriken hitting hit, so otherwise why didn't Madara's summoning work?

okay....i think i should reconsider my opinion.....but then if oro at all tried to summon minato and failed(obviously) then why did he summon the coffin....he could never have been able to perform the ritual so there would have been no1 in that coffin....still he summoned that?? this might be some plothole after all.....

As far as we know that coffin contained the sacrifice, we don't know exactly how the technique works, but I doubt it's as simple as throwing a few shuriken to stop an edo tensei

nooooooooooooooooooooooooo, it was Minato... he couldn't summon him, because he was sealed in the RDS, Hiruzen thought he stopped it, but that itsn't true, it's because of the rds
