Do you have to be good at art to be able to become 3d modeler? For example, 3d modelling for characters.

Please I would like to know.

I really want to be a 3D modeler

you should b a digital designer than traditional...but for me traditional is easy...
either way being creative for art is important so that you can achieve perfection of ur models...
if ur not good, start practicing...you'll get better before u know it...both in traditional n digital...

Digital: can get u a more vivid view of it to the audience and show every bits off the model
Traditional : best for self assessment...

i hope it helped! :)

You might have gotten a better answer in the Konoha IT Centre section... if you'd like, I can ask a moderator to move this thread there for you.

Does anyone even check thetre?
Yes. I don't, but others do.
I forgot that section even existed. That's like the nerd area on an anime forum, that's pretty bad.
Easy to forget. If you aren't into IT, it's understandable, but if you have computer-related questions, that's the place to go I'm sure.

If you "had" to be good, I would say sculpting would be more important than any other type of artwork.
If you think you want to do that as an occupation, try it first. Download Blender, look at some online tutorials and get a feel for it.

Considering that I'm not good at either, I can tell you that being able to draw helps. Being able to visualise things before putting them down is good even for 3D modelling.

But it's not essential. Practice makes perfect.
