Three new anime I watched that seem like they will be pretty good and I felt like sharing in case any one is interested and/or hasn't heard of them.
Noragami- At the boundary between this realm and another, there live eight million gods, dead spirits who serve the gods, and other assorted spirits who help and meddle in the affairs of humans. A sweet middle school girl named Hiyori Iki has been enduring bullying from her classmates, and she goes to the restroom by herself to cry. Scrawled on the bathroom wall is a phone number and the message, "I solve your troubles."
After Hiyori calls the number, she encounters a homeless boy wearing a jersey who calls himself a god. The boy, named Yato, is rough, moody, lazy, and never listens to anyone's wishes, but he had the power to be a god... that no one knew of.(This is the summary of Kissanime, but it didn't exactly happen that way. In ep.1 we meet Yato( a delivery God who charges 5 yen for his services) fighting a spirit outside of a high school, after the battle his weapon Hanki quits. Without a weapon he spray paints his number on a wall to find work to increase his fame as a God. He takes a job of locating a cat named MiLord, when Hiyori with 2 friends of hers are walking by a poster of the cat Hiyori sees Yato and pushes him out of the way of a truck temporarily killing her which leaves her soul in between the 2 worlds.)
It was an entertaining episode and had a good balance of comedy mixed in. Recommended for anyone who likes Bleach
Nobunagun- Shio Ogura is a Japanese high school student, who is visiting Taiwan on a school trip when she is suddenly attacked by monsters. Agents known as "E-Gene Holders" from the government agency DOGOO also arrive, who wield weapons infused with the spirits of historical figures. Shio is revealed to also be an E-Gene Holder when the soul of Oda Nobunaga awakens after she tries to rescue a friend.
One of the rare female anime characters that is a good character and she's the lead on top of that. This girl is funny in the first episode and at the end seems like she's going to be a badass on top of it. The E-Gene Holders have a special weapon that harnesses the soul of different historical figures and manifests itself into a weapon. Shio's is obviously from the title a gun and the spirit of Nobunaga Oda, along with her, also introduced in episode 1 are the names Ghandi and Newton whose weapons have not been shown as well as Jack the Ripper who you may have guessed wields a knife.
Last but not least is Nobunaga the Fool- The Western Planet and the Eastern Planet.
Once upon a time, the two sides were bound by the "Dragon Pulse" spanning the heavens.
The civilization that once had prospered has now turned to a tale of dreams, as the inextinguishable flames of war tear the realm asunder. The two planets remain engulfed in endless battles.
The return of the super technology known as "sacred treasures" could revolutionize the world order, but no one knows of them but one person—a "heretical girl."
A girl from the Western Planet, Jeanne Kaguya d'Arc, saw heavenly visions of the birth of a "Star Messiah" who will save the world. She embarks on a journey to the Eastern Planet with Leonardo da Vinci, "the one who observes the world." They come across the heretic of the Eastern Planet and "the greatest fool of the day," Oda Nobunaga.
Not usually a fan of mech suit anime but I am a fan of Sengoku era anime so I gave this episode a go and it seems like it's gonna be worth continuing. Hideyoshi is done really well for how I was first introduced to him(Samurai Warriors games. Not saying Sengoku Basara was bad but this is more how I've always envisioned him.) I enjoy the history aspect as well including characters like Da Vinci and Magellan and Joan of Arc, East meets West feel.
They're all still in the 1st episode so not a whole lot I could find on images but I thought I'd spread the news and see if anyone felt like picking one or all of these up or if they've already tried them, If you've watched any feel free to share your opinions on them.
