This is another example of fan misconceptions being called plot holes. I'm typing in big words for you to understand me better.

Madara was given free reign by Kabuto. Which means Madara had full control of his body from the start since he was against the alliance anyway, so there was no need to restrain him and force his movements.

Orochimaru had the 1st and 2nd in a full binding contract, their personalities were completely removed when Orochimaru placed the tags. And they became mindless puppets who could only attack and defend.

Maybe the second didnt know about Edo TEnsei's one weakness? Remember it was Kabuto and to a bigger respect Orochimaru who were experimenting with the Edo Tensei. Or maybe the second didnt want to be full revived simply because itt would hurt alot of people.

It is true that they probably could have released themselves from Edo Tensei (well Tobirama at least) but they didn't because they figured they'd still have their free will because they didn't know about Orochimaru's control tags. So its ok well either I don't fight and potentially turn against my summoner or I don't fight and return to being dead.
