I act as if I perform a handseal whilst I trap you in a genjutsu. You suddenly see the grass catching on fire, rapidly closing in on you. I look at you, smiling, and wait for what will happen.

Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

Sharingan already active, I see you perform the hand seal. Suddenly the grass in front of me catches on fire, immediately my attention is drawn to the flames... the surprisingly chakra less flames... I reason that if the fire had been started by a jutsu I would be able to see some residual chakra signals somewhere near the fire. Also remembering that you said you were going to cast a Genjutsu on me I start to examine my own chakra network, looking at my hands and down my body I see my chakra swirling in an unusual pattern. This gives me my final piece of information that I am in a genjutsu, I react by halting my chakra for the briefest of moments before suddenly sending a huge surge throughout my body (Insert kai technique here). As I do this, the flames disappear where I see you standing there smiling in a cheerful fashion O__O and no burn marks on the ground where I originally saw the flames.

As soon as I notice you're not trapped in a genjutsu anymore I cast a second one. First causing a swirl of leaves around you, and then you will see whatever you fear most.

Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.

As I stand there grinning at my minor success, I notice that a torrent of leaves begins to swirl around me. I am suddenly brought to a thought about my biggest fear while the leaves continue to spiral around. Suddenly the leaves stop swirling revealing Slender Man (xd couldn't think what to put here), I feel a sudden rush of fear as my flight or fight response kicks in though I find myself unable to run...
I do notice that Slender man has no chakra signal, deduced via the use of my Sharingan I realise that I am in a genjutsu after looking down at my own network to confirm it. I then again release myself using Kai, causing the leaves to disappear as well as Slender Man leaving you still standing in the same place you have been thus far.

So when using my Sharingan to 'pierce through' genjutsu, it really just gives me a better reason to utilise a genjutsu release method instead of actually breaking my out of it?

You can use your sharingan to see through the genjutsu, however you will need a method to get out of the genjutsu because your sharingan cannot help you with that.

*As you begin to run at me I react by catching you fist that was aimed at my face as I turn to the side at the last moment, avoiding your second fist*

O__O Are you getting slow or are you just tired, it was almost like I could see you were about to so that!

*Without a moments delay I twist your arm that I'm still holding in such a way that you spin around and face the other way, almost putting you in an arm lock. I then release you as I perform a spinning back kick with my right foot, hitting you square in the back to shove you away from me.*

*As you twist my arm I spit in your face, since you will react to that I have enough time to focus my lightning chakra in a split second and shock you as you still have taken hold of me. I jump backwards, landing perfectly fine on my feet*

Tired? Slow? No, no.. I'm giving you time. This ain't war, this, this is child's play.

 

[Shinta]

*As I start to twist your arm, I see you spit in my face O__O, which causes me to flinch for the briefest of moments. As I open my eyes my sharingan sees you flooding your system with chakra, I then notice that the chakra looks like it's vibrating at a really high frequency. Not sure what I'm seeing yet, I get shocked by you where you then jump back and land ever so gracefully.*

Ow... I see it was just a false sense of security >_O Well, I'm not sure what I just saw but I think I saw your lightning chakra moments before you shocked me!

*I then decide to throw a kunai at you as a drop a smoke bomb at my feet*

 

[Mephistopheles]

*right after you threw the kunai I get my sword of my back in the blink of an eye and block the kunai, then in one swing I cut you*
Smoke bombs won't do you any good against doujutsu users, there is no chakra in your smokebomb hence they will be able to see you.

 

[Shinta]

I forgot about that issue with the smoke bomb... Glad I have a sensei to catch that mistake here before I do it out in practice! ^^

*Using my sharingan, I can see you draw you sword to slash away the kunai with some little form of precognition. This gives me enough time to draw my sword from my left hip, catching your blade on the side of mine before it strikes me. The tip of my sword is still in the scabbard so that is can brace against my hip, taking the full brunt of your slash between it and my left arm holding my swords hilt. I retaliate by releasing a stream of wind from my mouth, forming a hurricane as I release it to blow you backwards.*
