2 reasons why I believe Naruto and Sasuke need to be depowered a bit

After reading past chapters again I just thought of something:if Naruto and Sasuke kept their Sage power ups then nobody and nothing will pose a challenge for them.This makes things problematic for the Last movie if there is going to be a antagonist.

Now before the fanboys descend into this thread,do know that I believe Sasuke and Naruto should get debuffed just a little bit to even out the power scale.

Reason#1.)If there is a villain in the Last movie then they will stand no chance if Sasuke and Naruto retained the Sage's power.People were complaining about Madara and Kaguya being overpowered,they will complain if the antagonist in the movie is overpowered as well.Naruto and Sasuke getting nerfed a bit will balance things.

Reason#2.)Everyone would be irrevelant.This one should be obvious but nobody can compete with Naruto and Sasuke now.

Has it occurred to you that Kishi wants the movie to have a different kind of villain?

Or maybe the villain is tied to Kaguya's backstory, like why she needed the army or something along those lines.

That's because nobody is supposed to pose a threat to them (or Naruto anyway). I mean he basically beat Kaguya by himself, with minor assistance near the end. Nobody will bother threatening him anyway after he saved the world.

He's supposed to be the second coming of the Sage, the strongest man on earth to bring peace.

But to answer op...
1) The only villain would be Sasuke. Nobody else.
2) Nope, that's only assuming they maintain the battle centered plot. The Last could be exploring the lives of K11, their chemistry with each other, and more on their relationships.

No, if you pay attention Sasuke still has the Rinnegan, and Naruto still had the mode on after he lost the seal.

He simply turned it off.

I agree, remove the tailed beasts and sharinnegan. They are too strong, and their sage mode and eternal mangekyou have lots of cool unexplored possibilities.

Personally, I liked the power levels they were at near the middle of the war (Naruto Tailed Beast mode V2, Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan Sasuke shortly after regaining his eyesight) They seem powerful but balanced to me.

Whoever the hypothetical villain is they needed to be beyond godly to pose a threat to Naruto and Sasuke.People complained about Madara and Kaguya OP,do you want the power scale to grow even more?

He didn't beat Kaguya. He sealed her. Kaguya > Naruto. If there wasn't a seal Kaguya would have soloed Naruto. He didn't have minor assistance, he had major assistance.

Do you realize that the power level going up is inevitable?

You should have read Shaman King, it went from sword fights to the FV creating a black hole.

Also The Last is just a movie, he is not going to base the entire ending around the upcoming movie.

The movie will be based around the ending.

When was it ever balanced, take away the powers they got from the Sage they are still the strongest ninja alive.

Also it was beaten into the ground that they would surpass their predecessors, that is something that the manga has been big on.

Did you think it wouldn't happen by the end of the manga?

Naruto's dream was to be stronger then the Hokage, even Kakashi commented that Naruto has finally fulfilled that dream.

Prime Naruto can beat Kaguya. He only needed assistance to seal her. Her body is comprised of chakra entities like the Juubi so of course he can't kill her, but he can wear her out to the point where the only thing he needs assistance with is sealing.

EDIT: Maybe beat was the wrong word, but he can threaten her very highly by himself.

You do realize that we never saw Sasuke use the other Rinnegan abilities because Kaguya would have just absorbed them right.

Series is coming to a close so I don't see a problem with the hero's being OP and besides who says they have been powered down? Naruto still has the Bijuu's chakra(its a part of him now) and senjutsu while Sasuke has his sharrinigan.
