I, honestly, am having a hard time believing it now.
At first I was like, "alright, he was the First Hokage, after all. No problem if he's OP."

But now, after today's chapter, the things Madara said about him... just...
It seems like he was so amazing but we've never got time to take it in slowly. In latest chapters, Kishi's just throwing praises about him at us, and it's hard to absorb it so suddenly :|

Mainly because when he was revived in Part I, he didn't seem so over-powered and heavenly. Yes, there are reasons, but still. Another reason is that in Part II, he didn't get any attention until Tobi mentioned him during Madara's story to Sasuke.

Take Minato, for example. Anko first mentioned that if Minato was alive, he could take on Orochimaru. From there, the praises have slowly built up; Tsunade and Jiraiya discussing how great he was, and even in the Kakashi gaiden, we got a glimpse of his awesomeness. Then in Kushina's story, we finally got to see how strategic and powerful he was. It was easy absorbing it. It was easy to believe it.

But oh well, gotta' roll with the story, I guess. Kishi's wishie xD
There are some that will argue and debate with me on this; don't waste your time, I'm simply giving my opinion, I can't be bothered arguing about how OP Hashirama is or isn't.

Besides, I never said he wasn't powerful. But I've stressed this point constantly: I just wish Kishi gave the Senju as much attention as he did the Uchiha. Then it wouldn't be so difficult absorbing all of this info in, eh? =P

second he had hashirama defeat madara.
then he made madara a bit too OP.
now he's just giving random power-ups to hashirama so that we can say he was the stongest person.

at least he decided to clear up the confusion about him after he fought against hiruzen xd

well tbh seeing the level of hashirama and madara now, it sort of says something about the level of shinobi in general at that point in history. if the others in the senju or uchiha had been so much weaker than either hashi or madara they would of been wiped out.

Each hokage has been given their time to shine except the 2nd Hokage. Kish as praised the 1st, 3rd and 4th in more ways than can imagine, almost to the point that whatever was stated doesnt matter much anymore, it's all about what is displayed. Ppl read too much into the hype stated my characters, "he was the best" or "the chosen one" but use that even off assumption most of the time. Ones best bet to to judge things from what we've seen and based off that 1st Hokage is boss, which I figured as much from the beginning.

Btw Anko's statement holds little, because she knew of Oro before all his OP abilities, such as; regeneration, true form, and Edo.

he is strong in jutsu, power and chakra but the 1st died in battle (war) why didnt his medical ninjutsu help him then ....... ..... im waiting till a flash back or something ... this guy just like his brother were said to be as strong or stronger than madara and his brother yet there are stories of them losing to people whose names haven't even been released yet ..... theres a hole in this so called 1st legand somewhere

In naruto part 1 they always talked how the "fourth was unrivaled" I dont remember who said it but wtf and naruto and everyone always admired the fourth the most wtf and that was before naruto knew it was his dad now the first is unbeatable and would destroy every other shinobi ??!!!!

No one talks about the 1st because they simply didn't know. The only people alive that might have seen some of the 1st's abilities are the two elders and maybe Oonoki, Tobi and that old ass genin from the anime. Not even Tsunade witnessed the power of the 1st since she wasn't even alive when he was. Judging from the Oro's Edo ten, Hashi must have been around 35 when he died meaning his son or daughter was at most a teenager. Sure Tsunade might've heard of his abilities but she's never witnessed the scale of them. That's why his powers became a myth and the villagers focused on the one's witnessed i.e The 3rd and 4th's.
