Can someone please explain who the hell is Mukai Kohinata?? I don't know who the hell he is or what he looks but I found this:

Apparently he is a hyuga who works as an anbu and he can awaken 1 eye byakugan. Its in Itachi filler arc but I don't remember seeing him at all...

considering the manga ended years ago and he was never mentioned, I think it's safe to say he is just a filler character with no existence in canon

He's not a pure Hyuga like Boruto so as a result he awakened one Byakugan insead of two, it was filler but Kishi probably decided to make it canon

I agree about him not being "pure" Hyuuga as stated in the wiki. I would also like to add, this is an Itachi novel character. The Anime Itachi Filler has not shown this character, I would guess because it cannot fit, so they left him out.

Anyway, if you would have said "It is possible that the manga writer would have implicated this in the Boruto story" then this would have been a nice thread. But regradless, nice catching that.
