4. He has done nothing but look after his own interests under the guise of protecting the leaf.

He stole the Sharingan of several Uchiha by using Itachi to do the ground work.

He abandoned the Leaf when Pain attacked, he is, in my eyes, a dirty scoundrel.

His only discernable feature is the fact he was able to steal and control Shisui's eye, by using DNA transplanted by Orochimaru.

OT:

Danzo is one of the better villains of this series. Great moveset, fantastic design, fair bit of plot relevancy. He provided the series with a darker twist and gave Sasuke a great challenge.

I don't know whether I should consider Danzo a villain or a hero, but either way, his character was good for the most part. Just hated how he was so dependent on outside power sources (sharingans, Wood style)

A character that I hate, but that's a good thing considering all the twisted stuff he did with his dark ideals...

It seems that pretty much any incident is either related to him or Madara.

EDIT: Forgot to say, pretty much a 9, but some of the explanations about him after his death I would consider no longer important.

He did a good job in a fight against Sauske, undoubtedly one of the strongest characters in the series! The only reason i don't rate him higher than a 8 is because he wasnt around very long.

Danzo is someone you 'love or hate'... Well, for me Danzo is a real shinobi. Someone who protects the village from out the shadows... He was VERY interesting and his death was epic.

Best written character. You never know if he truly was for the Leaf or for himself. His morals are debatable and make you think. Hero? Villain? It's all debatable, the individual reader may decide for themselves. Where as Naruto is good and Madara is bad, you can't truly tell with Danzo.

But the reason why I gave him a 9, and not a 10, is because he underestimated Sasuke to easily...

True, but I greatly enjoyed what he had to say to him. I completely agreed with Danzo about MS Sasuke.

Danzo's philosophy was actually what captivated me as well. What he was able to say and do. He was a healthy sense of danger in the series XD
