[Discussion] 13 years to One Piece

So it has been 13 years or so , i think... not sure exactly but... guys... think about it for a sec , if it took so long for this anime to get just 1 half done and alittle of the 2nd half , in 13 years , just how long would it take them to finish this anime completely?

Another 10+ years ? would we even be around watching this anime until then ? ( everyone's hobbies change from time to time ya know )

Tell me what you think guys i mean , would it really take at least that long to finish this anime ?

One piece is a good story and i will follow Luffy's adventures until he finds that One Piece!...As for the Anime..it's not that far behind but i can feel fillers coming soon.

I think One Piece have like 3+ more years intill the series is completely over. It is a very long anime and I think I was in 5th or 4th grade when it was on. I think it will be awhile before it over.

I see things through to the end, not finishing One Piece after taking all this time to get to the latest episodes would be like paying 20 bucks for an ice cream and throwing it away when you're halfway through with it.

Oda stated the series was halfway when he reached chapter 597, right before the timeskip. It had been 13 years with One Piece when he said this, which is two years ago now. That means it's still about 11 years left with the series to go, and the manga is going to go up to around 1200 chapters.

Considering we're just half-way in the manga, i'd say the series has atleast another 10 years before it finishes and if you are caught up i doubt you will stop watching now and i know even if i lose interest and quit anime i would continue to watch and read One Piece untill it ends because it is a legendary series.

I remember when I was younger I used to watch this on tv, and then I stopped. And the anime/manga is still going on! I don't know when it will stop... But I started watching a little today But when I watch an anime I like, I will most likely finish it, especially when the series is already finished. But if I don't like it then maybd I will finish it, maybe I won't. When I watched it today, it was good

i think its been going for 15 or 16 years as it started in 1997 also i see it reaching over 1000 chapters also another ten years i could see as oda does love to take his time he has also said that he wont end the manga with any loose ends

ofc it has to go on for another 10 years+, Luffy wants to KING of the pirate, that means he has to be the strongest of them all. Luffy can't even destory an island yet (look at WB who can destory one with ease) not to mention his crew's goal are really hard to achieve. Especially Usopp! xd

true, although not sure if cannon? but he destroyed shiki's islands with his storm axe stomp. WB can destroy a planet if he wanted to.

i see this defo continuing for another 10 years and plus...ive only started watching one piece recently as i caught up with everything in the summer and i already class it as one of the anime's i will watch untill the end along with naruto. i wouldnt mind stop watching bleach.
