Don't carry firearms in your hands in public replica or not
Don't argue with the police when they come and tell you to stop or to ask you a question
Don't resist and tense up during a pat down
Just shut up put your hands behind your back and wait, whatever's gonna happen is gonna happen the only thing that will happen by making a scene is an escalation in punishment. If you refuse to put your hands behind your back what was a cuffing and transport to jail becomes a taser shock and a ride to jail.

It's hard to put the blame on police here. Parents these days buy their kids violent games, RnB culture propagates gangster lifestyle. Kids try to imitate that. The problem runs too deep. It isn't a simple factor. Parenting is failing children every where. This was just another repercussion of this poorly developed approach to rearing children.

Well it is more than just that. Kids shouldn't go around with a "toy" gun in public. Parents are to blame as well. Then the cops got phone calls saying someone was walking around with what looks like a gun. The cops were idiots and just fired when he walked towards them. A lot of things were done wrong here.
It's the police fault 100% since when are you allowed to just shoot someone for seeing just the sight of a gun wtf? Aspecially in a open carry state like ohio which he's in gtfoh when i was living in florida i seen guys walking into walmart with ar 15 also places like krogers,target, sams club even school grounds you can't expect a 12 year old to have the rash thinking of a adult in that siuatation, plus were did that guy in this thread get that police got the call that the kid was ambushing people ? The phone call was released the woman who called said it was a toy gun dispatcher reported to police that it was a real gun.

Guns are the boys most favourite and cheapest toys.I believe the boys parents weren't rich enough to buy him an X-box.
If toys for boys should be banned so should toys for Girls.Equality.
The cop's story is a lie.he is a racist no doubt.
I am sure in future they will shoot a black boy playing with a stone and tell people they thought the stone was a grenade and had to shoot the boy to save his life.
The boy was playing outside probably because the gun need space to play.His house must be small.He was playing in a park(meant to be played by Children not for Cops),Cops are talking like the boy was playing inside a hospital.
Not all pellet Guns kill Squirrels only the big guns kill them.The boy has a very small gun in his hand which are harmless.

The kid had a gun, was pointing it at people, people got scared thinking it was real (not everyone knows how a real gun looks) plus pellet guns can look real from afar. The cops arrive, the kid reacts the wrong way and they shoot.
These kids with guns and who think being a thug or gang member is "cool" need to be taught different by the parents. This kid was no different, he was a victim of his environment and what he watched thinking it was "cool"
The police should have handle it better but can't just blame them all and pull the race card.
If he was pointing it at people in order to see a reaction from them (wanting to feel powerful/strong) then in a sense, he could be consider a bully.
Also assumptions are baseless, not truthful and made without proof so at the end, it's just an assumption not a fact.

I'm sure the thug image was not shown in the vid, let alone let's go ahead and disregard he was 12. Cops are trained in these kinds of situation. This would have been different if the boy was older, but he was 12.

How so? A gun is a gun no matter the age, it's not like 12 year olds can't have access to real guns (anyone can nowadays), and it's not like they don't know what a gun is, or the consequences of approaching a police car while pointing a gun that looks real.
