yes hes the only 1 still alive because he has the largest fanbase , pain killed jiraiya , he killed 2 of em and lasted 4 eps , kakashi fought 2 and lasted 2 eps and killing 1 , orochimaru was ill , and was caught by surprise lol
and kakashi gate 1 = gai gate 2 gai gate 5 = SM jiraiya and that means that gai in his 7th gate couldve beaten pain , and his 8th he surpasses the hokage according to speculation

very very very very very very very fast , chakra monster , ninjutsu god almighty , windstyle , tbb , anti genjutsu , tactician , and has chakra arms , he is basically invincible until he is out numbered or speed blitzed

gai in 7th gate powned kisame at full power , it took gai like 4 attacks , and the ninjutsu path would be useless , tendo easily killed , everything speed blitzed , the only shinobi he may not be able to beat in 8th gate is tobi , edo madara and so6p, kisame is the 3rd strongest akatsuki member and stronger than any1 loyal to the leaf in manga except gai and naruto lol

the speculation is likely , the more powerful chakra the more powerful genjutsu you can get out of , he was beyond super sonic speed , he would only be hurt by the side effects of the 7th gate opening , i mean only jutsu at s rank and a rank may harm him .... , did you even see the chapter when he went 7th gate and beat the shit out of kisame with ease like him in base vs udon ....

Actually i would switch Kakashi or one of the other for Tsunade because of her incredible strength and she is capable with her summoning to heal and protect the whole village. (Quite impressive if you ask me)

Hiashi is powerful id like to have him i top 10 but i dont think he is quite there like 11. Thats just me...
