Shapes is the best way, simplist but best xDYeah, I think most artists do things like that. Well, I suppose, pros are skipping the draft layer. I like using shapes... you know, e.g. head: circle + triangle, so that's how I always start drawing.
Haha, thanks, but I need a lot of practice. I am studying anatomy a lot these days. Learning about the main muscles and bones in human body helps a lot with lines.
What's important is that you practice a lot. Practice will show you where to go from thick lines (if you really like them or not) and it will help you develop your own style. Sure, there will be a lot of struggling but yeah, you are on a right path. xD
Yes anatomy definitely helps, been doing anatomy studies since september and I have improved waaaaaaaaaaaaay much more since it. I'm more confident doing full body drawings and putting them in poses.
