Debaters have one-two days to argue their points: ends the latest April 15, 10:00 am. [Eastern].

Unlike the majority of tournaments held here, matches will be held in versus thread section to allow debaters a more flexible space to fully improve their claims/posts. Comments are allowed in the respective thread until the debating starts and will not be allowed until after it ends: any comments formed during these times will be considered as spam.

Voting will be handled by a number of people: mostly by judges and a few by respectable members across the base. The voting will ultimately decide [as expected] the tournament’s set-up. All votes are required to have an explanation for the chosen. Judges will be assigned to matches once they are made. Three days are allowed for each round—two at the least, this allows participants the allotted time to format their posts if they wish: however debaters are not allowed to reconstruct their initial claiming; doing so will result in your upheaval in the tournament.

In the beginning, Sasori would most likely have to take care of the problem at hand; Samehada. This chakra eating symbiotic sword is the main problem for Sasori, taking care of this weapon is the first step into pressuring Kisame, and ultimately defeating him in the midst of battle. Samehada has shown properties into showing signs of being alive (eating chakra, disdainful reactions to Katon, favor over another host etc.) enabling me to propose that Samehada in fact is alive, and of course reacts with its host;

Now that the establishment of Samehada being alive is presented, I can go on with my counter against it:

Sasori was very adept in poison formally developing a poison in which killed his victim in three days, with paralysis as a side effect,

. Kisame has been shown to expose Samehada's bodily features very often (against Gai, and Bee etc.) thus, leaving Samehada open for wounds, or in general exposure to Sasori's lethal poison.

Due to Sasori starting in Hiruko this gives him an even more advantage as every technique he possesses while using Hiruko is poison covered (

All weapons installed in Hiruko were coated in Sasori's special brand of poison, which would kill the victim after three days of painful paralysis.

• Extendible iron tail provided offence by stabbing and defence by rotating around the body.
• Heavy back shell for additional defence.
• Rapid launching of senbon from the mouth.
• Torpedo-shaped left arm that launches shrapnel of senbon in all directions.

Kisame has also been seen to block attacks using Samehada I believe (Kisame's more over a tank). So due to Kisame's speed disadvantage, and not knowing about Sasori's abilities in this fight he'd have no other way of countering other than blocking which would be Samehada's, and most likely his own downfall.

Very good points Dr Proof But if I may say, I believe you are seriously doubting Kisames speed in this scenario. You have to remember that Kisame is in fact able to keep up with Gated Gai in a pure taijutsu and weapons match. Also Kisame would have Intel on Sasori's poison, would he not? I dont believe that Kisame would let Sasori stab anything of his. I'm assuming that Kisame would indeed know if his samehada is alive or not. If Samehada is indeed alive then Kisame has the ability to dodge.

Also, by dodging away from Sasori, I believe that he would indeed be capable of releasing his water dome. In the water dome, it would seem Sasori would be at a complete disadvantage considering his techniques rely on puppetry which would mean that they would be very slow underwater. Plus you must realize that Sasori would not be able to function properly underwater since hes just a mechanical person with all of his fake body parts and his puppets are pure mechanical as well.

One last thing. Sakura and chiyo were both able to dodge Sasori quite well. If they are able to dodge Sasori, then the very man who was able to stand toe to toe with Gai in a normal Taijutsu match with only 30% chakra would be able to have more than enough speed and reactions to dodge Sasori's attacks

Edit: Also Kisame has a 4 out of 5 in speed. Rock lee and Sasuke only have a 4.5 as well. Kisame is not that slow.

You shouldn't help or attack the argument of any player imo.. It should be up to the debaters to counter each other and post what you did, makes it a fairer debate.

Huh? I didnt even notice, i thought this was like an open debate till now lol. I was just free scrolling , Im very sorry. I came across what dr.proof wrote and thought to respond. Ive never really scrolled the versus section, I didnt know the rules im sorry. I saw other people posting too and wanted to give my own 2 cents
