⌘ INTRODUCTION

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
There are 80 participants that were randomly sorted into 16 groups of 5 and each participant has to fight once against each person in his group. Similar to how it works in the World Cup Football, a victory gives 3 points, a draw 1 point and a loss 0 points. The two best of each group will proceed to the main tournament knock-out stages. The third of each group will go to a side knock-out tournament while the last two are out of the game. In the case two people have an equal amount of points, the result of the match they had with each other will be the decisive. In the case three or more people have an equal amount of points, the ranking will be decided based on the amount of chakra each person spent. The one who used the least will be ranked the highest.
BASIC RULES
• You can only use the bio you posted in your application or an update that dates from before the start of the tournament

• By default the basic battle rules will be applied

• Additionally for each battle a rule from each of two sets of rules will be randomly selected an applied to the fight. On top of that for each battle 1 of the 20 battlefields will also be randomly selected where the fight will take place. Each field has its own quirks and bonuses.

• All players start mid-range from each other

• Specifically for this tournament short-range is defined as a 5m radius, mid-range as 25m radius and long range everything longer than 25m

• A battle lasts max one week with a 3-day reply limit

• The person who is listed first in the match-up in this thread will always start the battle

• When a battle is finished one of the participants has to make a post in the with the result of the battle. An RP mod will also announce the next battles in the same thread.

• The correct prefix has to be used for each fight

• The fights are held in the Battle Tests section

• During the group stage there is always one person each battle round that doesn't fight due to an odd number of fighters
PRIZES
• The prizes are divided into 5 tiers, 1 being the lowest and 5 the highest. Each tier corresponds with one of the five knock-out stages of the main tournament. So after the group phase each person has to state at the start of a fight whether he wants a prize or not. If he wants one and he wins the fight, he can pick a prize from the first tier. However if he choses to pass, he wins and in his next fight he does want a prize and he wins again, he can chose a prize from tier 2. This system is set up so that only the final victor can access the tier 5 prizes and only if he decided to pass in the first four matches.

• This system does not apply to the side KO tournament. Only the winner can pick a prize from tier 1 or 2

• The final victor also receives the tournament award

• Default prizes for the 2nd and 3rd place will be decided afterwards

⌘ BATTLEFIELDS


#1 - Mustafar

➤ Description

The place where Obi Wan Kenobo and Anakin Skywalker had their final showdown. This battlefield is a desolate wasteland that consists out of cooled-down and hardened lava which is divided by flowing lava streams into a grid-like pattern. The volcano keeps spewing out large ash clouds that cover the entire sky and blot out most of the sunlight. As a result the area is quite dark that's mainly illuminated by the the flowing lava. The players always start on an elevation with several streams flowing between them.

➤ Effects
• All fire and heat-based elements gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• All water-based elements and elements weak to heat lose -10 damage and lose one rank

• The ash particles in the air cause damage to the player's lungs by inhalation resulting into -10 health each turn unless the player somehow has protection against it. In the case the player preforms excessive physical actions, this is turned into -20 health. Excessive actions are defined as techs or abilities that increase the player's breathing rhythm tremendously like for example 8IG.

#2 - The Sahara desert

➤ Description

This battlefield is an endless desert with an ever-changing landscape due to the strong winds that continuously blows the sand away from one spot to pile it up on another. The sky is clear and heavenly blue and the temperature is permanently around 50° due to the blazing sun. Each player always starts at the top of two opposing dunes, both dunes stand on a north-south axis while the winds always blows from the east to the west.

• All sand and wind-based elements gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• All water-based elements lose -10 damage and lose one rank

• Whenever an attack hits the ground, sand is swept up and blown away via the east-west axis. This causes every player who stands in the trajectory of the blowing sand to be blinded for two turns due to sand in the eyes unless he has protection against it.

#3 - The Calm Belt

➤ Description

This battlefield is in the middle of the Calm Belt, a windless ocean with no land for hundreds of kilometers in all directions. The sky is clear and the ocean's surface is completely calm. Each player always starts standing on top of the water by focusing chakra in his feet.

• All water-based elements gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• All earth-based elements lose -10 damage and lose one rank

• The players automatically lose -5 chakra each turn to maintain their ability to stand on the ocean's surface. This can be avoided by going up into the air or to dive in the water, however standing even once during a turn on the surface will make the subtraction happen.

#4 - Hoth

➤ Description

This battlefield is a frozen wasteland consisting out of earth with layers of thick ice and snow covering it. There are many deep crevices hidden bellow the snow.The temperature is -50° and there is permanently a lingering icy fog that limits the visibility of the players and an icy wind. The players start unaware on a frozen lake that's completely hidden below two meters of snow.

• All ice, snow and cold-based elements gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• All fire and heat-based elements lose -10 damage and lose one rank

• All direct physical attacks lose -10 damage due to the heavy physical and environmental conditions

• The cold temperature, fog and wind cause severe frostbite resulting into -10 health each turn unless the player can find somehow protection

#5 - Wulong Forest

➤ Description

The place where Aang and Firelord Ozai had their final showdown. This battlefield is literally a forest of large stone pillars of hundreds of meters tall and several meters wide. The battle occurs at dusk with Sozin's Comet lighting up the night's sky. Each player starts at the top of a pillar with another pillar between the ones they're standing on.

• All earth-based elements gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• All wind-based elements lose -10 damage and lose one rank

• All katon specialists can preform all katon jutsu without handseals due to the influence of Sozin's Comet and instead can use a simple physical motion

#6 - Raijin Island

➤ Description

One of the first islands in the New World. The clouds that cover the entire battlefield pour down rain and lightning endlessly, making it appear like it's raining lightning. The players start fighting on a grassy plateau.

• All lightning-based elements gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• The rain and storm elements gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• There's a counter on this battlefield. Each third turn a lightning bolt will strike the player where he stands. The counter can be reset by moving out of short range before the third turn, however each time the counter starts again. In the case that a player still stands on the same spot on the third turn a lightning bolt will hit him from above. This lightning will be as strong as an S-rank lightning jutsu, but can blocked like any other jutsu likewise.

#7 - Hueco Mundo

➤ Description

The home world of the Hollows and Arrancar. An endless desert of pale white sand and dead trees below a permanent night sky with a crescent moon.

• All elements that have an inherent "dark" nature (like Void, Dark and Abyss) gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• All organic elements lose -10 damage and lose one rank

#8 - Kami's Lookout

➤ Description

The place where Kami resides. Kami's Lookout is an ancient platform that is in geostationary orbit in the skies of Earth kilometers above the ground. The bowl-shaped platform is supported by a single pillar that stretches all the way back to the Earh't surface. Both players start at the center of the platform.

➤ Effects
• The platform itself has 400 health and each time it's hit by an attack, the amount of damage the attack has at the point of impact is subtracted from the platform's health. When the health reaches zero, the platform collapses.

#9 - Hyperbolic Time Chamber

➤ Description

The place where Goku and his friends spent countless of times training. The HTC is an endless white void that exists outside time and space with only the entrance/exit being visible. The players start inside the chamber opposing each other with the entrance a dozen meters away.

• All forms and techs of space/time ninjutsu can't be used, this includes among others summoning creatures and seals

#10 - Crystal Catacombs of Old Ba Sing Se

➤ Description

The location of TLA second season's final episode. This battlefield is located hundreds of meters below the surface inside a large cave that's covered with crystals that give off a green hue. The floor of the cave has been tiled and a river, originating from an underground waterfall, has been channelled around one side of the cave. That same side also contains five pillars that support the entire structure. The players start at the other side of the cave.

• All crystal and gem-based elements gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• All earth-based elements gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• Each of the pillars can max tank damage up to one S-rank jutsu, after that it collapses. When all the pillars are destroyed, the entire cave collapses likewise. Damage to the pillars stacks.

#11 - Punk Hazard

➤ Description

The island where Aokiji and Akainu battled each other, influencing its climate permanently. One side of the island is blistering hot with several volcanoes and lava streams, the other side is freezing cold with blizzard storms and thick layers of snow and ice. Both halves are separated from each other by a straight river that connects to the ocean on both ends of the river. At the center the river turns into a lake that at the same time is boiling and freezing depending on which part of the island you are. The players start at the opposing sides of the lake.

➤ Effects
• On the warm side of the island all fire and heat-based elements gain + 10 damage and gain one rank, while cold, ice and snow-based elements lose -10 damage and one rank. On the cold side of the island the exact opposite happens. When either jutsu of these types crosses over from one side to the other, they lose nor gain anything and thus remain the same.

• All elements that are both cold and heat based gain +10 damage and gain one rank permanently

• When diving into the lake the players automatically loose -10 health each turn whether it be due to being boiled or being frozen unless protection is found.

#12 - Lion Turtle

➤ Description

A wise mythical creature that's a mixture of a lion and a turtle. It's as big as an island and has the ability to swim, dig and fly. In a long forgotten time they served as the guardians of mankind. This particular lion turtle has a shield covered with a thick, old forest with at the center a small hexagonal shaped platform. The players start in the proximity of the platform while the turtle is floating on water with the whole shield above the surface.

• All organic elements gain (wood, plant etc.) +10 damage and gain one rank

• All summoning creatures have the time they can remain summoned extended by two turns

• Each third turn the turtle changes location. The first time it flies off into the air, after that he will dig into the ground making the entire shield enclosed like a cave with the edge reaching up to the tree top's level and finally it will swim into the ocean reducing the part that's above the water surface to the hexagonal platform. This cycle repeats itself.

#13 - Snake Way

➤ Description

The Snake Way is a long, narrow, winding path, located in the afterlife which leads from King Yemma's palace to King Kai's planet. Below the road there are only clouds. The players start on the road.

• If a player falls below the road into the clouds, he automatically loses

#14 - Tree of Time

➤ Description

The connection between the real world and the spirit world. The battlefield is circular with countless of razor-sharp tooth-shaped rocks around the edge that become larger the further you go away from the center. These rocks, alongside several rivers, spiral towards two portals on both sides of the field. At the center stands the Tree of Time, a large hollow tree that once kept Vaatu prisoner. Each player starts with one of the portals at their back.

• Yin-Yang based elements and hidden abilities gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• The Wood element gains +10 damage and gains one rank

• The two portals connect with one another, so everything that goes through one will leave from the other one

#15 - Dead Marshes

➤ Description

A long, eerie and foggy swamp that stretches out for kilometers before the Black Gates of Mordor. A long time ago a huge battle took place here and it's said many of the corpses can still be seen floating in the water. Small green embers can be spotted from time to time, presumably the result of swamp gasses. The players start in shallow water while it's a night with a full moon.

• Genjutsu techs gain one rank and thus become harder to undo

• Poison-based techs gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• The swamp gasses have a permanent numbing effect on the mind when inhaled resulting in the user becoming sluggish. All physical attacks lose -10 damage and lose one rank unless the user provides protection.

#16 - Tyrn Gorthad

➤ Description

Also knows as the Barrow-downs. This battlefield is highly uneven, unpredictable and curved due to the countless green hills. These hills were often used as tombs, that host hundreds of skeletons from bygone eras, that were marked with large monoliths and boulders which make the battlefield even more hazardous. One player starts standing on top of a monolith that's sticking out diagonally from the ground while the other starts several meters away from the base of the monolith.

• Kaguya and other bone-based techs gain +10 damage and gain one rank

• On the 5th turn from all the graves a foggy mist is released that covers the entire battlefield

#17 - Zaofu

➤ Description

The home city of the Metal Clan. It's located in a valley and consists out of six huge flower-like constructs that are completely made out of metal and connected with each other with long metal bridges. Between the different structures there are grassy plains and flowing rivers. The player starts at the center of the biggest of the six flowers.

• Kenjutsu-based

• The pedals of the metal flowers start closing at the start each 3rd turn and are completely closed at the end of that turn. There will be no light inside the flower, so it will by default be pitch-black, and it will remain closed for two turns. A forbidden rank jutsu can destroy the wall, but only the part it hits. Hitting a part of the wall with one jutsu and another part with another jutsu will not stack together.

#18 - Domus Flau

➤ Description

The arena were the Grand Magic Games were held. It's a circular field surrounded by huge thick walls and tens of thousands spectator seats. The entire structure then is also located on a natural platform several hundreds of meters high. The players start in the arena facing each other.

#19 - Zou

➤ Description

Zou is an island located on the back of a huge thousand year old elephant that goes by the name Zunisha and who is continuously on the move through an ocean. He's so huge he can reach the sea floor while still towering hundreds of meters above the water's surface. The island itself mainly consists out of forests with in the center an ancient city made out of stone. The players start at the center of the city facing each other.

➤ Effects
• All summoning creatures have the time they can remain summoned extended by two turns

• Each 4th turn Zunisha uses his trunk to suck up a large amount of water, which he then releases on his back to wash himself. The amount of water is so large that it appear like a 10 meter high tsunami that rushes over Zunisha's back, washing everything and everyone away that can't find shelter.

#20 - Shabondy Archipelago

➤ Description

The Shabondy Archipelago is in fact a huge mangrove that stretches all the way back to the ocean floor and consists out of several parts that are connected with each other. With other words Shabondy is one huge tree, not an island or a series of islands. The players start one one of the parts facing each other while standing besides a huge 'branch' of the mangrove tree.

• All light and lightning-based elements lose -10 damage and lose one rank

• The earth-element loses -10 damage and loses one rank

• All organic elements gain (wood, plant etc.) +10 damage and gain one rank

• Each turn 10 bubbles are excreted from the mangrove's floor and they can travel around 10 meter upwards by default towards the end of the turn. They will automatically pop when they reach 50 meters. They can also be destroyed by the players using D-rank or higher jutsu/techs. These bubbles are strong enough to support a single person.

Now that the preliminaries have ended, the remaining 32 participants are left in the main tournament while the third place contestants are placed into a separate all out tournament. In regards to the main tournament, the rules, opponents and battlefields are all randomly chosen for the first three rounds. Then, in the semi finals, the opponent and battlefield randomly chosen but the fights are all out. The Grand Final is an all out battle in a new battlefield without any bonuses or handicaps.

The Small Tourney has all out battles however, the opponent and the battlefield are randomly selected from the first round to the Semi finals. The Small Final will be held on a new battlefield without bonuses or handicaps as well.

So after the group phase each person has to state at the start of a fight whether he wants a prize or not. If he wants one and he wins the fight, he can pick a prize from the first tier. However if you chose to pass, you win and in your next fight you do want a prize and you win again, you can chose a prize from tier 2. This system is set up so that only the final victor can access the tier 5 prizes and only if he decided to pass in the first four matches.

• Default prizes for the 2nd and 3rd place will be decided afterwards

The matchups for the final and 3rd place match of the main tourney are:

Loki vs Broly - All-out, New Battlefield: Colosseum. No special effects or panorama. Surrounded on all sides by the walls of the Colosseum that are mid-range away from both participants (25 meters).

Priest vs Baldy - All-out, #9

Fights are able to start in 2 hours and 24 minutes.
