Alright, let's continue where Lili left off.
Out of curiosity, how did you start in 2011, continue in 2012 and still have no wind? xD

Oh! Well, you could combine wind and fire to make your flame bigger and more powerful, increasing the range and stuff?
Or you could combine it with water to create a beam-like attack, as Naruto and Yamato did during the fight with Kakuzu :x

Wind can indeed be combined with fire to make a combo. This will basically power up the fire as fire needs three basic compounds to be able to burn. These compounds are fuel, oxygen and heat, the wind obviously contributes the oxygen. The fire will thus become bigger, stronger and faster.
Wind can also be combined with water, like you said. This combination does not really boost up one element in particular, but the elements will 'help' eachother. This is especially useful against a wind/fire combo
Then there is the combination with wind and earth like substances, for example sand or mud. Wind can take this with it towards the opponent to give them a hard time being sandblasted

Coolie, let's start with the first.

(Fūton: Fūsajin no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Dust Wind Technique

Description: The user creates a gust of wind that layers an area in loose sand and dust. Doing so also acts as a sandblaster on the surrounding area. This layer of sand that accumulates on the trees during this technique makes it difficult for others to get a good footing. The initial gust can also temporarily blind opponents by lodging sand in their eyes

Focus your wind chakra, then release it as a gust of wind in front of you.
*Noctis points at the ground and smiles*
As you can see there is a lot of sand and dust here. As you release the wind, it will pick up everything like that off the floor to form some sort of sandblaster that you direct towards your opponent. The sand will accumulate on trees and rocks etcetera to make it difficult to get grip on them. It can also irritate and blind the opponent if they get sand in their eyes and the rest of their face.

I begin to concentrate my wind chakra and carefully aim a gust of wind at the dusty ground in front of me. The ground shakes a little, and dust flies in the direction of the wind, causing a cloud in the air.
