Same Manager ? it was Otto Rehhagel for Greece, Portugal coach is Fernando Santos,
and they are not quite the same Portugal and Greece, Portugal play good game.. but doesn't score much, while Greece play super boring football and relied on set piece.

I'm not a barca fanboy, i'm portuguese and most portuguese people say this... Ronaldo isn't doing crap this year on Portugal, of course we pass judgement on him. I don't care if he's the kill of the hill in Real Madrid, i want him to score for my country. If he's not doing anything why doesn't the coach take him off the game ? Oh right, because he's "Ronaldo". That's what we portuguese people hate about him.

Ronaldo isn't doing anything special that is a fact but when he does he do something good Portugal doesn't have the striker to finish it...one example from this euros is vs Iceland he got an amazing cross to Nani, he had no one on him and he headed it straight to the goalie....I know he missed couple of good chances but like the commentators pointed out they were straight forward and easy as they looked but he is Ronaldo he should be finishing them....also him being selected isn't on him.....it is on the coach....and he already has so many haters on him 24/7 like that loser who was talking smack about his dead father....so how about supporting your countryman rather than tearing him down...not to mention you will NEVER see another Ronaldo so cherish him look at Argentina and messi.....
It's just that we expect him to do well, but he ends up disappointing a lot of us specially when he clearly haves the right opportunity to score, and as a player of his caliber he shouldn't miss like he's doing at the moment.

I know it's going to be tough, but I'm so hoping on Wales instead of Belgium as an opponent for Portugal now. I've been wanting Portugal against Wales in the Semi ever since the group stage ended, to see Ronaldo play opposite Bale in a match, and now we're only one game away. How fun wouldn't it be if Portugal - Wales would have turned out like Portugal - Sweden a few years ago, where Bale scores 2 goals and Ronaldo 3 in an intense thriller of a match? I know I might be a bit biased about my Madrid boys, but damn still just the thought of it makes my mouth water.

This tournament is absolutely weird.
Portugal plays the most boring football out of all teams and did not take the lead once in regular play time, yet they somehow ended up in the semi-finals. If it weren't for Sanches' solo-move, they would've lost. Simple as that. As a fan of football, their "tactics" are a pain to the eye. For the next game(s), I predict that Portugal will put all 11 players into the 5m area or into the goal itself. Terrible.
The other games will be way more interesting.

There is this massive terror-danger, the security is said to operate at full stretch, yet there are people with fireworks in almost every match and streakers somehow manage to enter the field over and over again. How is that possible. The security can be very lucky that these guys weren't armed and had no intention to harm anyone.

Personally I would prefer more of a show from Portugal, as it's almost as if they put everything in that match against Estonia where they won 7-0, and have been on the down since. The bright side is that they've avoided a loss in the last 12 games, with 9 victories and 3 draws. They somehow remind me of Atletico Madrid, and although a lot of people hate Atletico for their defensive style, they've reached 2 CL finals in the last 3 years. I'm not sure what entertain me the most...
The fact that Portugal is closing in on the final or the fact that people are complaining about them every match xd If I didn't root for them, I would probably have been doing the same exact thing. I must admit though, it seems as if whatever team that ends up playing Portugal, faces a close, tight and somewhat boring match. They have a tendency to bring out the worst in the opposition, lmao.
Football isn't meant to be beautifully played for your entertainment, they are professional players not entertainers. The winner wins and the loser goes home. I don't care if they play like shit, as long as they come up on top, that's good enough for me. Also, this match would be more satisfying if Penaldo hit the ball on 2 separate occasions. The Portugal i knew 4 years ago would slaughter everyone. The same Portugal that shat on Spain 4-0... It's a new generation, times are changing. I'm portuguese and i don't know where the **** 80% of these new players on the starting lineup came from...
