No they don't that's why it's a reboot and Dante and Vergil are Nephilims and no half blooded demons and the story is different.

Vergil didn't die after DMC3, he reappeared as Nelo Angelo in DMC1. The chronologic would be:

- DMC3
- DMC1
- DMC4
- DMC2

And that's stated by wiki, so what happened between DMC 1 and DMC 4 is the question I'm asking because in DMC1 he disappears but is never seen dead, but in DMC 4 he is dead.

But that was Nelo Angelo, that's the tormented version of Vergil whose bound to mundus in the underworld so he was already dead. So he had to have died in three. We just didn't see his body once he disappeared into the darkness.

But still. Why does he encounter memories and feelings then in DMC1 if he was just a dead body practically? His fighting style is also very similar, he never backstabs an opponent.

Well it's Virgil but he's being tortured by mundus so whenever he thinks of his human life he feels pain. Once Vergil went down I think mundus who still has power in the underworld made him his slave. But of course this is just speculation from playing the games multiple times.

But we didn't see his body ever.

Well it's Virgil but he's being tortured by mundus so whenever he thinks of his human life he feels pain. Once Vergil went down I think mundus who still has power in the underworld made him his slave. But of course this is just speculation from playing the games multiple times.

Foreshadowed? Because he was ably to use Yamato? But that also could have been because the bloodline between him and Dante.
