Its up to you i like it better than Naruto at this point, people make fun of it for some of its powerups ( mainly Erza's powerups) but Naruto even worst at this point when it comes to BS powerups give Sakura activated slug sage mode i wouldn't be surprised.

Fairy Tail has no plot... it has fan services, true, but every time they fight, in the middle of nowhere they get a nakama power up.

The best thing you can do is read it & judge by yourself ....who knows you might like it , I wouldn't listen to the people in NB when it comes to recommendations , I don't do it .

that's my biggest problem, when a character has no development his powers are given 2 of the are permanent.

''So far'' - I can agree. But if we look at the entire series altogether, Naruto trumps easily. No manga from the big three (One Piece, Bleach & Fairy Tail) was as good as Naruto in the start of Part II and mid-way (until the Pain arc. at most).​
