The first part seems like its been answered as for the second one, imo the armor is made up of a large volume of sand in which case it would make sense it can absorb some of the KE from hits. The remainder of the energy that gets through to Gaara would probably be mild.

Amaterasu is listed as a short range technique (0-5m) which i think means it spawns on a target within that radius and travels the rest of the way. I have no idea on how fast it would then travel though. But its imo probably why Sasuke opted to use Enton against Gaara in the Kage summit.

Well the Uchiha clan would no longer exist as they would mostly be wiped out with the remaining few possibly becoming Senju. Knowing Tobirama's hate for them however, the latter becomes a stretch. The village would have still been built and.... basically, the whole story would be different tbh..

Yeah. The eyes grant multiple visuals and not all of them will logically be available at once when they activate the eyes. Its why the main Byakugan users in the manga (Neji and Hinata) were shown activating Byakugan even though it was already activated to probably change the ability of the eyes...

Were there any hints at a default vision type upon activation of the eyes in the manga?
