Hidan only has taijutsu. His only other ability he's shown takes a ton of time, and is impractical in a 1 On 1 fight. His immortality is a joke. He's still as frail as a human, and can be crushed, sliced, buried, etc. And shinobi Jonin or above can safely beat Hidan.

He knows nothing they can do will hurt his plan. His character is still badass. He just wants to sh*tstomp Hashirama, and are letting the children play with the Juubi. PS slash = GG Alliance.
