Going to any jail is the punishment. Going to a female prison is still going to prison, so the punishment wouldn't be revoked.

This makes no sense. They want to be sent to a female's prison because they believe themselves to be female. Even if they feel like they'd be safer in a female prison, they wouldn't be treated any better than any other female prisoner, so there's no special treatment.

I fail to see how this is special treatment. She won't have it any better than any other women in a women's prison.
