I only go back so far, I don't recall Naruto's parents coming into question as a theory. The Fourth Hokage always sounded like an easy guess for the father, but I guess the mother caused some speculation.

I admittedly added her name into the search knowing something would come of it.

Oh, I remember that. It was a pretty well backed up theory. Some Naruto-Hinata fans were also arguing that his wife was Hyuga, I recall....turns out it was more like his mother, which is really weird in hindsight.

Also, another personal favorite, Tobi is Sasuke from the future.

I remember that for a while people actually thought Sakura would turn out to be Kaguya's Transmigrate or something of the sort....

Recently I found this. At some point along the line, before I even joined this fandom, people thought Minato was the hidden Akatsuki leader that turned out to be Pain and that his name was Uzumaki Arashi based on a name on the Toad Contract Scroll. I bet it sounded real plausible then, but...

Personally I thiink that this would have been more in Naruto's favor, but legged Susanoo Sasuke might have kept up with him.

I think the Izanagi relies on their eyes being intact for it to be used. That said, the only way to guarantee the death of an Uchiha with Izanagi is by destroying their eyes after they're killed, or at least that's what I believe given what Canon presented us.

Has anyone ever noticed how in filler, Naruto uses a kunai as a weapon far more often than in canon? And they always make it seem like he's some incredible kunai master or something that can even keep experienced swordsman at bay... The above is especially true when they show him fighting...
