    Which is why i would have preferred Naruto and Bee to lose their beasts, with naruto surviving only due to his uzumaki heritage and SM. I think i could be a pretty good kishi sometimes. That's not really how it works, but you get my point.

This coupled with the fact that it's almost 90% possible that Sasuke was going to Kirin Team7 at Oro's hideout without prep (but probably at the cost of an enormous amount of chakra) makes me believe it's entirely...

    Hiruzen body, even with edo tensei, is still severely crippled compared to his prime. All he is really left with is his knowledge and analytical skills, which he displayed against obito. He's served his purpose.
