wood release is exclusive to Hashirama as the chakra chains are exclusive to Kushina. Kushina was chosen to be the Kyubi's second Jinchuriki because she has exceptional and unique chakra even among the Uzumaki Clan, and I strongly believe that Tsunade and Naruto are related.

current Suigetsu for me is a mid-Jounin level I don't think he can learn any raiton techs 'coz he gets "jellified" by raiton though he can possibly collect all the seven swords but the fact that he survived a bijuu bomb proves that he's a tough ninja.

how can they use a technique that will harm themselves? of course it's their jutsu, it's suppose to damage their opponent it's like asking why Sasuke, Kakashi and Raikage don't get electrocuted while using raiton.
