I think Zetsu and Juugo have some relation. They're both masters at manipulating nature chakra. Zetsu has stated that he's one with nature, being able to appear and disappear through trees and Juugo is also at peace with nature as seen with his ability to communicate with birds and squirrels...

We don't know for sure. It might be that he saw Obito die and then trained it and those things combined kind of did it.

Maybe, I think he'll end up helping Naruto and Sasuke against Madara and going for Madara's body with EMS and the rinnegan.
