Exactly, Sasuke is just a plot device, a foil to help the main character to get stronger, achieve his goal and highlight certain aspects of Naruto's character. People need to understand that Sasuke only exists to help Naruto. :sy:

Naruto has never once stated he was stronger the sasuke, even now he feels hes weaker then sasuke. The farest he ever went was saying they were equal! However many have stated hes stronger, both good and bad guys, even sasuke stated a few times he was not sure he could beat naruto, altho there were in his thoughts and he never said it outloud. Even Zetsu stated naruto was stronger then Sasuke, and Itachi, knowing what EMS can do stated naruto has enough power to save sasuke!

Sorry to break it to you guys, but Naruto will win someway or another if they fight, maybe Naruto convinces him to come back or beat him or takes both their lives to save Konoha. But Naruto will not "lose" to Sasuke. The manga is "Naruto" after all and Naruto always finds a way to stay alive and beat his enemies no matter the situation with his amazing strength and that will lead him to become Hokage. The villains never win. That's the Plot no Jutsu for you. Kishimoto would just make Naruto a bit stronger to beat Sasuke's ass.
